Bahia was picked up off the street and brought to the police station. From there, her path led to the animal shelter. Life at the animal shelter is not easy for her; the kennel causes her great distress. The caretakers believe she may have had a home before. She gets along well with the other dogs, she loves to play and is very good-natured and obedient. Whether Bahia was used for hunting is unknown. There should be no small pets or cats in her new home. A family with older children is what we envision, but both the dog and the children will need some training to learn how to interact respectfully and safely with each other. We are looking for active people for Bahia who are willing to move outdoors regardless of the weather. Bahia needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation due to her "hunting genes." She is a great companion for hiking and other sporting activities. As long as she is involved, that’s what matters.

Bahia wurde auf der Straße eingesammelt und zur Polizeistation gebracht. Von dort führte ihr Weg ins Refugium. Der Alltag im Tierheim fällt ihr nicht leicht, der Zwinger macht ihr große Probleme. Die Pfleger denken daher, dass sie ein zu Hause hatte. Mit den anderen Hunden kommt sie klar, sie spielt sehr gern, ist dabei sehr gutmütig und gehorsam. Ob Bahia zur Jagd benutzt wurde, weiß man nicht. Es sollten keine Kleintiere und Katzen im neuen zu Hause sein. Eine Familie mit größeren Kindern können wir uns vorstellen, es bedarf jedoch sowohl auf Seiten des Hundes als auch der Kinder einer gewissen Erziehung, wie man respektvoll und sicher miteinander umgeht. Wir suchen für Bahia aktive Menschen, die sich bei jedem Wetter draußen bewegen. Bahia braucht aufgrund ihrer „Jagd Gene“ viel Bewegung und Beschäftigung. Sie ist ein guter Begleiter beim Wandern und anderen sportlichen Aktivitäten. Hauptsache dabei sein.
