Hello! My name’s Cecil, and I’m a handsome lurcher of around four years old. If you’re looking for a gentle, friendly best friend, I might just be your perfect match. I absolutely love meeting new people and am always happy to make a new friend. I’ve got a sweet nature and plenty of love to give, but I might need a little patience while I settle into home life. It’s likely I’ve never lived in a house before, so things like sofas, TVs, washing machines and all those everyday household routines may be completely new to me. With kindness, reassurance and a little time, I’m sure I’ll soon work it all out. I can find being left on my own a bit worrying at first, so I’ll need someone who can help me build up my confidence gradually by increasing my alone time nice and slowly. Like many lurchers, I can also be a bit of an opportunist – if you’ve left something tasty on the kitchen counter, I might just see it as fair game! Don’t worry though, with good management and a consistent routine, I’ll soon learn the house rules. I’d love to have some doggy walking friends to join me on adventures, but I’d prefer not to share my home with cats or other small furry animals. If there are children in my new family, they’ll need to be aged 11 or over so everyone can enjoy living together comfortably. One thing I do need is a lovely, fully secure garden with 6ft fencing to keep me safe. I absolutely adore having a good zoom around, and I’d be over the moon if you could take me to secure paddocks where I can really stretch my long legs and run to my heart’s content. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate boy who’s ready to discover just how wonderful family life can be, I can’t wait to meet you. All I need is a little patience, plenty of love, and someone to help me become the happy, confident companion I know I can be.
