Our lovebirds are lively and sociable birds, brimming with energy and curiosity. They are active, alert, and nimble, making them exceptionally entertaining companions. At the same time, however, they are quite sensitive and may become anxious or easily startled in new situations. This is especially evident in our hand-reared birds, whose curiosity shines through despite their initial uncertainty and caution. These birds are vocal and can brighten their surroundings with their singing; at times, their volume can even be quite noticeable. Due to their social nature, it’s crucial not to keep lovebirds alone—only in the company of their own kind do they feel truly comfortable and at home. Since lovebirds are highly energetic, they require a spacious aviary and a securely enclosed environment to fully enjoy their freedom of movement. It’s also particularly important that they have sufficient mental stimulation—without engaging their minds, they tend to destroy things because they simply aren’t kept busy enough. When their needs are met, lovebirds make affectionate and varied companions that bring great joy to any home! Pair bonding required: Adoptions can only be arranged for pairs or groups. Adoption options: We welcome inquiries about adopting as single pairs or in groups. Single housing not permitted: Keeping lovebirds individually is not allowed.

Unsere Agaporniden sind lebhafte und gesellige Vögel, die voller Energie und Neugier stecken. Sie sind aktiv, aufgeweckt und flink, was sie zu äusserst unterhaltsamen Gefährten macht. Dabei sind sie jedoch auch sehr empfindlich und können in neuen Situationen ängstlich oder schreckhaft reagieren. Insbesondere bei unseren Handaufzuchten zeigt sich ihre Neugier, obwohl sie anfangs noch unsicher und vorsichtig sein können. Die Tiere sind lautstark und können mit ihrem Gesang die Umgebung erhellen, wobei sie in ihrer Lautstärke auch manchmal durchaus auffällig sind. Aufgrund ihrer geselligen Natur ist es wichtig, Agaporniden nicht alleine zu halten – sie fühlen sich nur in der Gesellschaft ihrer Artgenossen wohl und sind dann in ihrem Element. Da Agaporniden sehr lebendig sind, benötigen sie eine grosse Voliere und ein gut gesichertes Umfeld, um ihre Bewegungsfreiheit ausleben zu können. Besonders wichtig ist auch, dass sie ausreichend geistige Herausforderungen haben – ohne Kopfarbeit neigen sie dazu, Dinge zu zerstören, da sie dann nicht genug beschäftigt sind. Wenn ihre Bedürfnisse beachtet werden, sind Agaporniden liebevolle und abwechslungsreiche Begleiter, die viel Freude in jedes Zuhause bringen! Paarhaltung erforderlich: Eine Adoption kann nur in Paaren oder Gruppen erfolgen. Adoptionsmöglichkeiten: Wir freuen uns über Anfragen zur adoption als Einzelpaar oder in Gruppen. Einzelhaltung nicht gestattet: Eine Einzelhaltung ist nicht erlaubt.
