Emi's arrival at the shelter was not easy. He was aggressive, hissed, swatted with his paws and bit my hand whenever possible. Most likely it was due to maternal instinct - he had a litter of kittens and for him the whole world was something that had to be protected from his children. A person was not a friend, but a threat. Today, Emi is a completely different cat. He lives in the cat room, where he becomes more open every day. There is also his mother, Sakura, and the two of them still stay very close. This bond gives Emile a sense of security and confidence and it was from there that his change began. Emi is already surprisingly brave towards visitors. He plays with the toy, comes to greet, watches and sniffs people, but keeps a safe distance. He doesn't like to be handled, but his interest in people is great; trust just needs more time. Emi loves play. Balls, mice and anything that moves get his attention. Emi is house trained. He is looking for a person who understands that not all cats are born friendly and that the deepest connection often happens with those who don't give themselves away immediately. A quiet home, a patient nature and willingness to let Emile be himself - it is in such an environment that he can continue to grow and open up. Some cats do not jump into your arms right away. Some cats just walk after you at first. And one day, they are there - truly present. Emi is on that path.

Emi saabumine turvakoju ei olnud lihtne. Ta oli tõre, susises, vehkis käppadega ja hammustas mu kätt igal võimalusel. Väga suure tõenäosusega oli selle taga emainstinkt – tal oli pesakond kassipoegi ning tema jaoks oli kogu maailm midagi, mille eest tuli oma lapsi kaitsta. Inimene ei olnud sõber, vaid oht. Täna on Emi hoopis teine kass. Ta elab kassitoas, kus avaneb iga päevaga aina rohkem. Seal on ka tema ema, Sakura, ning need kaks hoiavad siiani tugevalt kokku. See side annab Emile turvatunde ja kindluse ning just sealt algas ka tema muutus. Külaliste suhtes on Emi juba üllatavalt julge. Ta mängib suletutiga, tuleb uudistama, vaatab ja nuusutab inimesi, kuid hoiab veel turvalist distantsi. Pai endale ta teha ei lase, kuid tema huvi inimese vastu on suur; usaldus lihtsalt vajab veel aega. Emi armastab mängu. Pallid, hiired ja kõik, mis liigub, saavad temalt tähelepanu. Emi on koduootel. Ta otsib inimest, kes mõistab, et kõik kassid ei sünni sülekassiks ja et kõige sügavam side tekib sageli just nendega, kes ei anna end kohe kätte.
