Fiby arrived at the shelter together with other cats from Sip, and our first meeting was anything but friendly. A cat born and raised in a colony had not previously had close contact with humans and was very fearful and would hiss and swat. Because the entire colony was affected by ear mites, Fiby needed ear cleaning and treatment and it was difficult to handle her properly. I constantly had my hands injured from biting and scratching. Now the biting has calmed down and the cat is spending time again with other cats and gets along very well with them. Often I find her sleeping in someone's lap, but mostly she spends her time with Ophelia, they sleep together and groom each other. Still needs time with people, she does check things out and watches, but doesn't come close enough to be petted. Fiby is looking for a loving home where her shyness is taken into account and she is allowed to slowly get used to things, having another cat would certainly help her become braver. Fiby saabus turvakoju koos teiste kassidega Sipast ja meie esimene kohtumine oli kõike muud kui sõbralik. Koloonias sündinud ja kasvanud kiisu polnud varem inimesega lähemalt kokku puutunud ja susisemist ning käpaga vehkimist oli kõvasti. Et kogu kolooniat vaevas kõrvasügelislest, siis vajasid Fiby kõrvad puhastamist ja tohterdamist ning maadlemist oli temaga korralikult. Pidevalt olid mul käed katki küünistamisest ja hammustamisest. Tänaseks on kaklemised kakeldud ja kassineiu veedab aega taas teiste kasside seltsis ning saab nendega suurepäraselt läbi. Tihti leian teda kellegi kaisust magamast, aga enamasti veedab ta aega Ofeliaga, magavad koos ja pesevad ka üksteist. Inimestega vajab siiski veel aega, ta küll uudistab ja vaatab, aga veel nii lähedale ei tule, et saaks paigi teha. Fiby otsib toredat kodu, kus tema pelglikust arvestatakse ja lastakse tal rahulikult kohaneda, kindlasti aitaks ka teise kiisu toetus julgemaks muutuda.
