He does not avoid petting, in fact he lies on his side to be able to stroke him all over his body. He really needs closeness and has a lot of the most beautiful feline sensitivity that you can imagine. What is FIV+? It is a condition of acquired immunodeficiency, commonly called feline AIDS, because it resembles the human form of this disease. Infection occurs mainly through direct contact of the carrier's saliva with the blood of another cat, for example through deep bite wounds during fights. Cats with FIV can live with other cats infected with FIV, but also with healthy cats, provided that the animals are calm and do not engage in aggressive fights. Only cats can get infected. Therefore, you and your dog will not get infected, nor will you transmit FIV to the neighbor's cat. It is an incurable disease, but with appropriate care its progression can be prevented, and a cat with FIV can live a long and happy life. The basis is a home-only cat, regular monitoring of the cat's health and strengthening its immunity (e.g. using appropriate supplements).

Usposobienie: Florek lubi towarzystwo innych kotów i chętnie spędza dzień na leniuchowaniu – na drapaku, na wygodnym posłaniu, a najlepiej na ludzkich kolankach (z których jak się go zdejmie, to zwykle bezpardonowo włazi z powrotem). Nie stroni od głasków, wręcz układa się na boczku, by móc miziać go po całym ciele. Bardzo potrzebuje bliskości i jest w nim mnóstwo najpiękniejszej kociej czułości, jaką tylko można sobie wymarzyć. Czym jest FIV+? Jest to zespół nabytego niedoboru immunologicznego, potocznie nazywany kocim AIDS, ponieważ przypomina ludzką odmianę tej choroby. Do zakażenia dochodzi głównie przez bezpośredni kontakt śliny nosiciela z krwią drugiego kota, czyli np. przez głębokie rany kąsane podczas bójek. Koty z FIV mogą mieszkać z innymi kotami zakażonymi FIV, ale też ze zdrowymi kotami, pod warunkiem, że zwierzaki są spokojne i nie dochodzi między nimi do agresywnych walk. Zarazić mogą się TYLKO KOTY. Nie zarazisz się więc ani Ty, ani Twój pies, ani nie przeniesiesz FIV na sobie na kota sąsiadów. To choroba nieuleczalna, ale dzięki odpowiedniej opiece można powstrzymać jej rozwój, a kot z FIV może żyć długo i szczęśliwie. Podstawą jest dom niewychodzący, regularne kontrolowanie stanu zdrowia kota i wzmacnianie jego odporności (np. za pomocą odpowiednich suplementów).
