I am Hank … a young Great Dane, who loves to be active and learn. I was trained in dog sports and have a great desire to work. Would you like to know more about me? I was secured for animal welfare reasons. Great Danes typically need a bit longer to warm up with strangers. If you've won my heart, I am open, silly, and a bit of a clown of the group. But one should not underestimate me: I have a strong will and know exactly what I want – that's why clear, fair leadership is important for me. At first, I think other dogs are great and am loudly happy; in direct contact, I then decide based on sympathy. I have a proper "macho note" and let it out sometimes – management, impulse control, and good socialization training help me stay cool. In the animal shelter, I am very stressed and am therefore looking forward to a wonderful, trusting human-dog team where I can show what I've got. I wish for … athletic, dog-experienced people who like to train, give me mental and physical stimulation (dog sports, nose work, obedience), and take time for getting to know me. A home on the outskirts of town or in the countryside would be best, because I need a lot of movement and get stressed quickly with too much hustle and bustle. A compatible only-dog arrangement is possible; children should not live in the household. Would you like to go through thick and thin with me in the future?

Ich bin Hank … ein junger Riesenschnauzer, der gern aktiv ist und lernt. Ich wurde im Hundesport ausgebildet und habe große Lust zu arbeiten. Möchtest du mehr über mich erfahren? Ich wurde aus Tierschutzgründen sichergestellt. Riesenschnauzer-typisch brauche ich etwas länger, um mit Fremden warm zu werden. Hast du mein Herz gewonnen, bin ich offen, albern und ein bisschen der Clown der Runde. Unterschätzen sollte man mich aber nicht: Ich habe einen starken Willen und weiß genau, was ich möchte – deshalb ist für mich eine klare, faire Führung wichtig. Andere Hunde finde ich zunächst super und freue mich lautstark; im direkten Kontakt entscheide ich dann nach Sympathie. Ich habe eine ordentliche „Machonote“ und lasse die auch mal raushängen – Management, Impulskontrolle und gutes Begegnungstraining helfen mir, cool zu bleiben. Im Tierheim bin ich sehr gestresst und freue mich deshalb auf ein tolles, vertrauensvolles Mensch-Hund-Team, in dem ich zeigen kann, was in mir steckt. Ich wünsche mir … sportliche, hundeerfahrene Menschen, die gern trainieren, mir geistige und körperliche Auslastung geben (Hundesport, Nasenarbeit, Obedience) und sich für unser Kennenlernen Zeit nehmen. Ein Zuhause am Stadtrand oder ländlich passt am besten, weil ich viel Bewegung brauche und von zu viel Trubel schnell gestresst bin. Ein verträglicher Ersthund wäre möglich; Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt leben. Möchtest du mit mir künftig durch dick und dünn gehen?
