Hello there, my name is George. I’m an 11-year-old Golden Retriever looking for a lovely retirement home to call my own. I may be an older gentleman now, but I’m still a happy, steady chap with plenty of love to give. Like many older lads, I have a few aches and pains these days, but I’m managing well with some pain relief and still enjoy pottering about and taking life at a gentle pace. My humans would be very happy to chat more about this over the phone — anyone who’s loved an older dog before will know that we all get a little creaky with age! I’m looking for a calm home where I can be the only pet, as that’s where I feel most comfortable. With time and patience, I could enjoy having some walking friends out and about. I’d also prefer to live with children aged 11 and over who have experience living with dogs and understand when an older boy needs a bit of peace and quiet. One thing I would absolutely love is a secure garden where I can wander around, sniff the flowers, and enjoy the fresh air at my own pace. I’m an affectionate, fluffy lad who adores company almost as much as I adore food — and trust me, I really love my food!
