Vagyok egy vonzó, korábban versenyképes gyorsjáró, aki most egy nyugodt és megértő otthon után keresi, ahol élvezhetem nyugdíjas életemet. A verseny utáni élet teljesen új számomra, ezért valaki türelmesre van szükségem, aki segít nekem lassan haladni, miközben felfedezem a világot. Nagyon erős vadászhatásom van (ez az örökségem!), ami azt jelenti, hogy nem tudok együtt élni macskákkal, kis kutyákkal, madarakkal vagy bármilyen kis puha dolgokkal. Lehet, hogy egy másik, hasonló méretű kutya, akinek hasonló nyugodt természetét ismerem, elviselhető lehet, feltéve, hogy megfelelően ismerkedünk meg. Egy dolog, amit igazán szeretnék, egy biztosított kert 6 láb magas kerítéssel, hogy jól futkossak és mutogathassam a zoomies-t – ígérem, nézni érdemes! Mivel néha ideges vagyok a zsúfolt utaknál és a forgalomban, jobban érezném magam egy féltermes lakásban, ahol csendesebb a környezet. Élhetek gyermekekkel 11 éves kor felett, különösen, ha megértem, hogy néha egy kis térre van szükségem a pihenéshez és a biztonság érzéséhez. Remek párosulás lennék azoknak, akik már ismerik a gyorsjárókat, vagy akik hajlandók megtanulni, mi teszi őket különlegessé. Amint otthon érezni kezdem magam, sok szeretetet adhatok, és valóban várja a végleges otthonomat 🐾

I’m a handsome ex-racing Greyhound looking for a calm and understanding adult-only home where I can enjoy my retirement. Life after racing is all a bit new to me, so I’ll need someone patient who can help me take things at my own pace while I figure out the world. I do have quite a strong prey drive (it’s in my nature!), which means I can’t live with cats, small dogs, birds, or anything small and fluffy. I may be able to live with another dog my size who has a similar calm temperament, provided we are introduced properly here at the centre. One thing I’d really love is a secure garden with 6ft fencing so I can have a good run around and show off my zoomies – I promise they’re worth watching! My ideal home would also have carpets or rugs, as I can be a bit like Bambi on ice and sometimes find laminate or other hard flooring quite slippery. Because I can be a little nervous around busy roads and traffic, I’d feel much more comfortable in a semi-rural home where things are quieter. With time, patience, and reassurance, I’ll soon grow in confidence and show what a wonderful companion I can be. I am looking for an adult-only home and would suit someone who can continue the training and support I’ve been receiving at the centre. We would be happy to discuss this in more detail with potential adopters to help ensure a smooth transition into home life. I’d be a great match for someone who already knows a bit about Greyhounds, or someone willing to learn about what makes us special. Once I feel settled, I’ve got lots of love to give and I’m really looking forward to finding my forever home 🐾
