Her story: When our Isabelle was found – chained up on a farm – she couldn't walk, had many wounds, and was very weak. The lady who rescued her took her to the vet. It was determined that she has a spinal compression. In early March, she underwent surgery and the L3-L4 vertebrae were decompressed. The clinic staff only took poor care of Isabelle; she had more wounds – they wanted to euthanize Isabelle. Our local helpers brought her to their care. She was then examined by a neurologist, who found that she has pain and deep sensitivity in her legs. A huge opportunity for the wonderful Isabelle! She is now under the care of a foster parent who is doing acupuncture and physiotherapy with her, and there are small progressions. She is trying to move her limbs. She is not incontinent. Isabelle is estimated to be around 2 years old. With a height of about 30 cm and a weight of around 4 kg, she has a small size. She could be a Bichon mix. Isabelle is very affectionate, bravely enduring all treatments and loving the attention of people. She needs lots of cuddles. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. For Isabelle, we are looking for people who can spend a lot of time with Isabelle and are willing to continue her therapy. We do not know how much Isabelle will still learn, but currently there is a good prognosis. Due to her small size, she can be easily carried or taken in a buggy. A garden where she could lie down would be nice for her, but is not necessary. Isabelle seems uncomplicated, but of course, she comes with a handicap. Care, therapy, and lots of love – and we are looking forward to how Isabelle will develop. The little mouse has more than earned the fight for her! Isabelle is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings her EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive match. Ihre Geschichte: Als unsere Isabelle gefunden wurde – angekettet auf einem Hof – konnte sie nicht laufen, hatte viele Wunden und war sehr schwach. Die Dame die sie befreit hat, brachte sie zum Arzt. Es wurde festgestellt, dass sie eine Wirbelsäulenkompression hat. Anfang März wurde sie operiert und der L3-L4-Wirbel wurde dabei dekomprimiert. In der Klinik kümmerte man sich nur schlecht um Isabelle hatte immer mehr Wunden – man wollte Isabelle einschläfern lassen. Unsere Helfer:innen vor Ort wurden auf sie aufmerksam gemacht und nahmen sie in ihre Obhut. Sie wurde anschließend von einem Neurologen untersucht, der feststellte, dass sie Schmerzen und eine tiefe Sensibilität in den Beinen hat. Eine riesige Chance für die tolle Isabelle! Sie ist nun bei einer Pflegerin untergebracht, die Akupunktur und Physiotherapie mit ihr macht und es sind kleine Fortschritte zu sehen. Sie versucht, ihre Gliedmaßen zu bewegen. Inkontinent ist sie nicht. Isabelle wird auf etwa 2 Jahre geschätzt. Mit ca. 30 cm und etwa 4 kg hat sie eine kleine Größe. Sie könnte ein Bichon-Mix sein. Isabelle ist sehr liebevoll, lässt alle Behandlungen tapfer über sich ergehen und liebt die Aufmerksamkeit der Menschen. Sie braucht viele Streicheleinheiten. Mit anderen Hunden sowie mit Katzen versteht sie sich sehr gut. Für Isabelle sind wir auf der Suche nach Menschen, die viel Zeit für Isabelle haben und bereit dazu sind, ihre Therapie fortzuführen. Wir wissen nicht, wieviel Isabelle noch lernen wird, aber aktuell gibt es eine gute Prognose. Durch ihre kleine Größe kann man sie gut tragen oder in einem Buggy fahren. Ein Garten, indem sie liegen könnte wäre schön für sie, ist aber kein Muss. Isabelle scheint unkompliziert, bringt aber natürlich ein Handicap mit. Fürsorge, Therapie und ganz viel Liebe – und wir sind gespannt wie sich Isabelle entwickeln wird. Die kleine Maus hat es mehr als verdient, dass man um sie kämpft! Isabelle ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Sie bringt ihren EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine verminderte Schutzgebühr von 325 Euro in ihr neues Leben reisen.
