My 24-year-old, 1.33m isi-wallach with COPD/heastaub allergy is desperately in need of a new home. (And the corresponding ad with photos: ) The heat every summer and the not entirely ideal housing conditions take a toll on him, and now my life circumstances have changed, and I fear I won't even be able to afford the application fee soon, and he needs regular veterinary treatment again. He currently only gets expectorants and bronchodilators, but should at least get cortisone etc. in the summer. He has COPD and a heastaub allergy. We changed stables about three years ago, he was symptom-free and fit for 1.5 years, but over time he has had problems again because the feeding often doesn't match, and I simply no longer believe that he can age without suffering here, given that I no longer have the financial means and no support. Currently, he is in a small "boys' herd" in an open stable and gets hay, wet hay, and hay cubes, as well as some "summer support powders" etc. for the summer. He manages without coughing and inhalers for part of the year, but in the molt season and in the summer, he struggles. Reksi is unaccommodating. He spent a long time in a box at night, but that only works if he and everything around him are not covered in straw—open stable or 24/7 pasture would be ideal! Preferably mountain climate or at least better air than in Vienna. For about two years, I have been working him time-wise, and now also because of his lung condition, only from the ground, but the vet said last winter that he can still be ridden. He knows ground work, in the field (alone or together, then he loves to race), but also regularly classical gymnastics at the arena (where he is definitely a small gym grump). By the way, he is a 5-gaiter, but I have only ever ridden him 3 or 4 gaits. He also loves children, my cousins and the neighborhood children (3-13 years old) have learned to handle and ride horses with him for years. With kids, he is always a lamb (though sometimes a picture-book pony stubborn), while with experienced riders he likes to play the reluctant teen. What he doesn't like are cars and tractors, as well as anything else that is very loud, although that is not greatly limiting. During rides or at the farm, if he is given some space and praise, he has also come around to it. Only when tractors pass by very close does he usually get off, he feels better then! Otherwise, shoeing, etc. are no problem, he also spent 3.5 years in a mixed herd, which also worked, where he was very happy to watch over "his" mares. I am at my wits' end and never wanted it to come to this, but my life has changed, and it is no longer possible for me to earn enough money and put in the time, I would be grateful for any tips and advice! (Und das dazugehörige Inserat mit Fotos: ) Die hitze jeden sommer und die nicht ganz idealen haltungsbedingungen setzen ihm sehr zu, jetzt haben sich meine lebensumstände geändert und ich habe angst mir sehr bald nicht mal mehr die einstellgebühr leisten zu können, und er braucht dringend wieder ordentliche tierärztliche Behandlung. er bekommt derzeit nur schleimlöser und lungenentkrampfer, sollte aber zumindest im sommer cortison etc bekommen. er hat copd und eine heustaub allergie. wir haben vor gut 3 jahren stall gewechselt, er war da 1.5 jahre symptomfrei und fit aber nach und nach hat er wieder probleme bekommen, weil die Fütterung oft nicht stimmt, und ich habe einfach keinen glauben mehr daran dass er hier leidens-frei alt werden kann, zumal ich die finanziellen mittel nicht mehr habe sowie keine unterstützung. derzeit steht er in einer kleinen „burschen-herde“ im offenstall und bekommt heu nass und heucobs, sowie kleine „unterstützungs-pulver“ etc für den sommer. einen teil des jahres schafft er es ohne husten und pumpen, aber in der fellwechsel-saison und im sommer kämpft er. reksi ist unbeschlagen. er stand lange zeit nachts in einer box, jedoch funktioniert dass nur wenn er und alle rundherum kein stroh eingestreut haben- wunsch wäre doch offenstall bzw 24/7 weide! idealerweise bergklima oder zumindest bessere luft als bei wien. seit etwa zwei jahren arbeite ich ihn zeitlich bedingt und mittlerweile auch wegen seiner lunge nur vom boden aus, mit entsprechender behandlung meinte aber die tierärztin letzten winter noch dass er reitbar sein kann. er kennt arbeit vom boden, im gelände (allein oder gemeinsam, dann leidenschaftlich gerne wettrennen) aber auch regelmäßig klassisch gymnastizierend am platz (wobei er definitiv ein kleiner gym-muffel ist). er ist übrigens 5 gänger, ich bin aber immer nur 3 bzw hier und da 4 gänge geritten. außerdem liebt er kinder, meine cousinen und nachbarskinder(3-13 jahre) haben jahrelang mit ihm den umgang mit pferden sowie reiten gelernt. mit kids ist er immer ein lamm (wenn auch manchmal bilderbuch-pony-stur), wohingegen er mit erfahrenen reiter*innen gerne mal den möchtegern-teenie spielt:) was er leider nicht so mag sind autos und traktoren, sowie alles andere was sehr laut ist, jedoch ist das nicht großartig einschränkend. beim ausritt oder am hof dem gefährt einige meter ausgewichen und viel lob, dann hat sich das auch gegessen:) nur bei traktoren die nah vorbeifahren steige ich meist trotzdem ab, er fühlt sich dann einfach wohler! ansonsten ist schmied, ta etc alles kein problem, er stand auch 3.5 jahre in einer gemischten herde, was ebenfalls funktioniert hat, wobei er da schon ganz gerne bisschen über „seine“ stuten wacht:) ich bin am verzweifeln und wollte nie dass es so weit kommt, aber mein leben hat sich so verändert und es ist mir nicht mehr möglich, genügend geld zu verdienen und die zeit aufzubringen, ich wäre über jegliche tipps und ratschläge dankbar! sein gesamtes „inventar“ an sattel etc. kommt natürlich mit! schreibt mir gerne eine mail an , falls ihr noch fragen habt. ich hoffe ich habe das wichtigste mal erzählt! meine telefonnr. ist , bitte nur per WhatsApp!
