Ivy is a little lady at just under 5kg, however despite her small size she has a big personality. She loves to play and have a cuddle once she knows you. Ivy has previously lived with another dog but she wasn’t that interested in being around him, so at the moment she may prefer to be rehomed as an only dog. However, please keep an eye out for updates as we do plan on introducing her to a suitable dog on site soon. She enjoys going out on walks – she isn’t fazed by people, bikes or traffic but may get a little worried by large vehicles if they pass by quickly. Ivy has been very friendly with everyone she has met across site and out on walks and is quite happy to just keep walking past unless greeted. She is very polite with her greetings, although can get a little bit worried if people approach too fast (which is understandable as she is so small, it can be a little bit scary!) Ivy loves a cuddle and will jump on to your lap whenever she feels like she wants some affection. She does enjoy playing with toys at times too but sometimes needs some encouragement to get started. As she has previously lived with children, Ivy can live in a home with children 8 years +. We are also happy for the home to have visiting younger children as long as any potential adopters have previous experience of managing dogs around children appropriately. Ivy has a very high prey drive so won’t be able to live in a home with any small animals or cats. It is also highly recommended that Ivy stays on a lead or long line when out and about on walks as in true terrier fashion if she wants to go after something, she will. Ivy has been doing some muzzle training, just as practice if it is ever needed when out and about on walks (due to this prey drive) and it’d be a good idea for her muzzle training to continue in the home as well. Ivy is a lovely sweet girl and is looking forward to finding her next loving home where she will be cherished and made to feel at home straight away.
