Joker was found in a transport box – hence, it's unfortunately very likely that he was abandoned. We know nothing about his exact history. Joker is a sweet and gentle tomcat who enjoys the company of humans. He enjoys being petted, greets people kindly, and shows that he would like to trust people. At the same time, he is still very insecure. Loud noises or hectic movements startle him quickly, and then he prefers to retreat to his safe haven. For Joker, we are looking for experienced and patient people who are familiar with insecure cats and who will give him the time he needs to truly settle in. A quiet home without children is important for him so he can feel safe and not be under constant stress. Whether Joker can get along with other cats, we cannot currently assess with certainty. Therefore, we will either rehome him as a single tomcat or with a very quiet and social tomcat, provided there is mutual affection. A quiet apartment with a secure balcony would be ideal for Joker. Whether he will eventually be able to have free roam, we unfortunately cannot say at this time. Additionally, Joker has a limp. We cannot trace where this came from, but it does not affect him in any way. Joker is looking for people with understanding, calmness, and patience – people who will show him that he never has to be afraid again. This cat needs outdoor access.

Joker wurde in einer Transportbox gefunden – daher liegt leider sehr nahe, dass er vermutlich ausgesetzt wurde. Über seine genaue Vorgeschichte wissen wir deshalb nichts. Joker ist ein lieber und sanfter Kater, der die Nähe zum Menschen durchaus genießt. Er lässt sich gerne streicheln, köpfelt freundlich und zeigt, dass er eigentlich gerne Vertrauen schenken möchte. Gleichzeitig ist er aber noch sehr unsicher. Laute Geräusche oder hektische Bewegungen erschrecken ihn schnell und dann zieht er sich lieber in seine sichere Höhle zurück. Für Joker suchen wir daher erfahrene und geduldige Menschen, die sich mit unsicheren Katzen auskennen und ihm die Zeit geben, die er braucht, um wirklich anzukommen. Ein ruhiges Zuhause ohne Kinder ist für ihn wichtig, damit er sich sicher fühlen kann und nicht dauerhaft unter Stress steht. Ob Joker mit anderen Katzen verträglich ist, können wir aktuell noch nicht sicher einschätzen. Daher vermitteln wir ihn entweder als Einzelkater oder zu einer sehr ruhigen und sozialen Kater, sofern die Sympathie stimmt. Eine ruhige Wohnung mit abgesichertem Balkon wäre für Joker ideal. Ob er später einmal Freigang einfordern wird, können wir momentan leider nicht sagen. Außerdem hat Joker eine Knickrute. Woher diese stammt, können wir leider nicht nachvollziehen, sie beeinträchtigt ihn jedoch in keiner Weise. Joker sucht Menschen mit Verständnis, Ruhe und Geduld – Menschen, die ihm zeigen, dass er nie wieder Angst haben muss.
