Meet Josie ❤️ Josie is a Beagle with the sweetest, most gentle soul. When she first arrived, she was scared, nervous, and very unsure of the world around her. Everything seemed overwhelming, and it was clear that life had not always been kind to her. Yet, with each passing day, we are seeing little glimpses of the wonderful dog hiding beneath that uncertainty. Her confidence is slowly growing, and watching her begin to blossom has been incredibly rewarding. We don’t believe Josie has had an easy life. Although her appearance might suggest she is much older, her teeth tell a very different story. Based on this, we estimate Josie is only around six years old. Sadly, we suspect that whatever she has experienced in the past has left its mark, making her seem older than she really is. Despite everything, Josie remains a gentle and loving girl who deserves the opportunity to discover what a happy, secure life feels like. We feel Josie would benefit greatly from living with another friendly and confident dog who could help guide her and show her that the world isn’t such a scary place. She is looking for a patient and understanding family who will give her the time she needs to settle, build trust, and find her feet at her own pace. Every day we see a little more of her personality emerging—a soft nature, a curious spirit, and a dog who wants to believe that good things are coming her way. Josie doesn’t need perfection. She simply needs a family willing to see beyond the shyness, invest a little patience, and give her the chance she has probably never had before.
