Katha came from the large trapping and neutering operation in Frankfurt, where a three-digit number of free-roaming cats from various organizations were trapped and neutered. The cats with potential for rehoming no longer had to return to the streets, as there was already enough suffering there. All cats from this group are rehomed with only one or two other social cats, as they only know life with other cats. They also need free roam after settling in. Most of the cats we've taken in are still very shy, and Katha is taking the move a bit hard. She still hides, and the treatment of the infection that initially plagued her was also not a confidence-building measure. Everything is still so new for her. Friendly people, daily food, warm snuggle spots—Katha and her friends need to get used to these things, as they simply don't know them. But because they are young, they learn quickly and have already understood that there are people who fill their bowls daily. The joy over this is great! They are also just learning to play with toys. For all these cats, we are looking for patient and experienced people who would like to accompany them on their journey to a better life and who can be happy about every progress with them. All are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and secretly they are already very excited about what life has in store for them. Katha stammt aus der großen Fang- und Kastrationsaktion in Frankfurt, bei der eine dreistellige Anzahl von frei lebenden Katzen von verschiedenen Vereinen eingefangen und kastriert wurden. Die Katzen mit Vermittlungspotenzial mussten nicht mehr auf die Straße zurück, denn dort gibt es schon genug Elend. Alle Katzen aus diesem Bestand werden nur zu zweit oder zu einer weiteren sozialen Katze vermittelt, denn sie kennen nur das Leben mit anderen Katzen. Auch Freigang benötigen sie nach Eingewöhnung. Die meisten der von uns übernommenen Katzen sind noch sehr schüchtern, und Katha nimmt den Umzug etwas schwer. Sie versteckt sich noch, und die Behandlung des Infekts, der sie zunächst plagte, war auch keine vertrauensbildende Maßnahme. Es ist noch alles so neu für sie. Freundliche Menschen, jeden Tag Futter, warme Kuschelplätze - daran müssen sich Katha und ihre Freunde erst gewöhnen, sie kennen es einfach nicht. Weil sie aber jung sind, lernen sie schnell und haben schon begriffen, dass es Menschen sind, die täglich gefüllte Näpfe bringen. Die Freude darüber ist groß! Auch Spielzeug lernen sie gerade kennen. Für all diese Katzen suchen wir geduldige und erfahrene Menschen, die sie auf ihrem weiteren Weg in ein schöneres Leben begleiten möchten und die sich mit ihnen über jeden Fortschritt freuen können. Alle sind kastriert, geimpft und gechipt und insgeheim auch schon sehr gespannt, was das Leben noch für sie bereit hält.
