Hi, I’m Kiezel and I’m almost 12 years old. Apparently, I’d been missing for eight years—kind of strange, since I actually knew exactly where I was all along. My owners certainly did look for me, but they just didn’t check the place where I was. When I finally ended up wandering into the shelter, it turned out I had a microchip (which I had no idea about...). Then my owners came to visit. I talked with them about the living situation they could offer me now, and I decided to turn it down. I’d rather keep looking for a new home that’s just perfect for me. At first, I didn’t want much attention and just wanted to do my own thing—but now I’ve started to enjoy getting a little petting on the head too. I’ve discovered that’s actually quite nice. I’m becoming more and more confident around people, and I now feel really comfortable when they’re around. Hopefully, I’ll soon find an owner with whom I can build a wonderful bond. As for other cats, I’m still a bit hesitant—but if there’s plenty of space, who knows?

Hoi ik ben Kiezel en ben bijna 12 jaar oud. Ik schijn 8 jaar lang vermist te zijn geweest, beetje apart want ik wist natuurlijk gewoon waar ik was. M’n baasjes hebben zeker gezocht, maar simpelweg niet op de plek waar ik was. Toen ik uiteindelijk zwervend in het asiel terecht kwam bleek ik een chip te hebben (wist ik niets van..) en kwamen mn baasjes op bezoek. Ik heb met ze gesproken over de woonsituatie die ze me nu kunnen bieden en ik heb besloten die af te keuren. Liever ga ik op zoek naar een nieuwe plek die helemaal bij me past. Wilde ik in het begin niet zoveel aandacht en lekker mijn eigen gang gaan, nou inmiddels kom ik me toch ook wel melden voor een aai over mijn bol. Dat is toch wel fijn heb ik ontdekt. Ik word steeds dapperder rond mensen en voel me inmiddels goed als ze er zijn. Hopelijk krijg ik snel een baasje waar ik een fijne band mee kan opbouwen. Andere katten twijfel ik over, maar als er veel ruimte is wie weet.
