She builds trust in the first few minutes and tries to gain your attention by looking you in the eye, so you engage with her. Lada is very intelligent, friendly, and cheerful. She gets along with other dogs, meets cats calmly, and plays happily with children. With very young children, Lada has no experience, as she currently lives in a foster home with teenagers. Lada loves toys, sniffing mats, and both active games and thinking games. The foster mother is very affectionate with Lada and is enthusiastic about her talents. She says: “Lada helps with all household tasks. If she had hands instead of paws, she would be a real house helper and a cat nanny. She is very gentle with cats. She sometimes invites them to play a bit pushily, but the cats don’t mind. Lada loves to sleep close by. She is so gentle and sensitive. She is very active and playful, despite her vision problems. One eye is completely blind, the other about 60 percent. This is noticeable when playing and running. As she doesn’t feel hindered at all, she still plays actively with other dogs. Sometimes she can misjudge directions while running and bump into obstacles. Since she is half Laika, she also has the right temperament.” Lada has experienced a lot in her life. The injury that caused her to lose an eye was inflicted by a person. Despite this, she holds no grudge and wants to be close to people. She drives well, visits veterinary clinics and the grooming salon without any problems, and calmly allows all necessary handling. She is leash-trained and house-trained. When she first came to the foster home, she constantly followed the foster mother. She is a very loyal and grateful female dog. Staying alone for longer periods is still difficult for her, and she should be gradually accustomed to it. Lada desperately needs a family where she can be infinitely loyal. She must be able to share her tenderness and kindness with someone. She fits both a large and a small family.

Wie viele Laikas ist sie sehr „gesprächig“ und kontaktfreudig. Sie baut schon in den ersten Minuten Vertrauen auf und versucht, Ihre Aufmerksamkeit zu gewinnen, indem sie Ihnen in die Augen schaut, damit Sie sich mit ihr beschäftigen. Lada ist sehr intelligent, freundlich, fröhlich und offen. Sie versteht sich mit anderen Hunden, begegnet Katzen ruhig und spielt gerne mit Kindern. Mit ganz kleinen Kindern hat Lada noch keine Erfahrung, denn sie lebt derzeit in einer Pflegefamilie mit Teenagern. Lada liebt Spielzeug, Schnüffelteppiche und sowohl aktive Spiele als auch Denkspiele. Die Pflegemutter geht sehr liebevoll mit Lada um und ist begeistert von ihren Talenten. Sie sagt: „Lada macht bei allen Aufgaben im Haushalt mit. Wenn sie keine Pfoten, sondern Hände hätte, wäre sie eine echte Haushaltshilfe und eine Katzennanny. Zu Katzen ist sie sehr zärtlich. Sie lädt sie manchmal etwas aufdringlich zum Spielen ein, aber die Katzen nehmen es ihr nicht übel. Lada schläft sehr gerne in ihrer Nähe. Sie ist so sanft und feinfühlig. Sie ist sehr aktiv und verspielt, trotz ihrer Sehprobleme. Ein Auge sieht Lada gar nicht, das andere nur zu etwa 60 Prozent. Das merkt man beim Spielen und beim Rennen. Da sie sich überhaupt nicht als „behindert“ fühlt, spielt sie weiterhin aktiv mit anderen Hunden. Beim Rennen kann sie manchmal die Richtung falsch einschätzen und gegen ein Hindernis stoßen. Da sie halb Laika ist, hat sie auch das passende Temperament.“ Lada hat in ihrem Leben sehr viel erlebt. Die Verletzung, durch die sie ein Auge verloren hat, wurde ihr von einem Menschen zugefügt. Trotzdem trägt sie keinen Groll und möchte unbedingt in der Nähe von Menschen sein. Sie fährt sehr gut im Auto, besucht problemlos Tierkliniken und den Grooming Salon und lässt alle notwendigen Handgriffe ruhig zu. Sie ist leinenführig und stubenrein. Als sie in die Pflegefamilie kam, lief sie anfangs ständig der Pflegemutter hinterher. Sie ist eine sehr treue und dankbare Hündin. Länger allein zu bleiben fällt ihr noch schwer, daran sollte man sie Schritt für Schritt gewöhnen. Lada braucht sehr dringend eine Familie, der sie grenzenlos treu sein darf. Sie muss ihre Zärtlichkeit und Güte einfach jemandem schenken können. Sie passt sowohl zu einer großen als auch zu einer kleinen Familie.
