Lucy is a lovely, gentle Lurcher who is looking for a calm and understanding home where she can take things at her own pace. She is a shy and sensitive girl who can be unsure around new people, but she does enjoy gentle fuss once she feels comfortable. Lucy has a curious side too, and we think her personality will really start to shine as she settles in and builds a bond with her new family. She is generally laid-back and loves nothing more than relaxing on a comfy, fluffy bed. Lucy is looking for patient and experienced owners who can help build her confidence and continue her training. She would benefit from having someone around for most of the day initially while she gets used to her new home and gradually learns to spend time alone. She could live with adults or a family with older, secondary-school-aged children. Lucy cannot live with cats or younger children. She could potentially share her home with a calm, well-socialised dog, particularly one that will give her space and help her feel secure. Lucy will need plenty of patience, kindness and time to settle, but with the right family by her side, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
