Location: Romania Manju was sleeping... in the middle of the night... right in the middle of a street... and nearly got run over! Our animal welfare volunteer took the little male dog into her care to prevent anything worse from happening. Now Manju lives in a small shelter. He gets along well with the pack and has no problems interacting with all the other dogs. He also seems to like people—he’s friendly and open-minded. Now Manju is looking for a cozy basket where he can sleep safely. Our dogs travel vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. Starting at the age of 8 months, a rapid test is performed to check for the four most common regional parasitic diseases; dogs are usually neutered from the age of 10 months onward. The assessments of the dogs reflect their current, familiar living environment—meaning they’re evaluated in their usual surroundings, with familiar caregivers and within their existing pack. We cannot predict—or can only partially predict—how a dog will behave in the future, especially after moving to a new home. Each animal is an individual that will change and continue to develop.

Aufenthaltsort: Rumänien Manju schlief… mitten in der Nacht… mitten auf einer Straße … und wäre fast überfahren worden! Unsere Tierschützerin nahm den kleinen Rüden zu sich, um Schlimmeres zu verhindern. Nun lebt Manju in einem kleinen Shelter. Er zeigt sich im Rudel als problemlos, kommt mit allen zurecht. Auch Menschen mag er wohl, er zeigt sich freundlich, aufgeschlossen. Nun sucht Manju ein Körbchen, damit er dort in Sicherheit schlafen kann. Unsere Hunde reisen: geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und mit EU-Pass aus. Ab dem Alter von 8 Monaten wird ein Schnelltest auf die 4 regional wichtigsten Parasitosen durchgeführt, kastriert sind die Hunde i.d.R ab dem Alter von 10 Monaten Die Einschätzungen der Hunde beziehen sich auf den aktuellen, gewohnten Aufenthaltsort, also im gewohnten Umfeld mit bekannten Betreuern, im vorhandenem Rudel. Wie ein Hund sich in der Zukunft, vor allem nach einem Umzug in ein neues Zuhause zeigen wird, können wir nicht bzw nur bedingt voraussagen. Jedes Tier ist ein Individuum, wird sich verändern und weiterentwickeln.
