Maxda is this beautiful 4.5-year-old shepherd dog. We brought her from Valencia, from an animal shelter that had been destroyed by the DANA. Maxda arrived at ALBA very scared. Slowly, with time and attention, we have seen progress. She is a very curious little dog who loves to explore, so although at first she would block, she now goes for walks in calm environments with a lot of patience and care. She doesn't have a special problem with the harness or leash, her main fear is people. Maxda lives with Rubio, another little dog from Valencia, and she relies a lot on him; she feels much more comfortable in his company and constantly looks for him during walks to feel safe. When we are with her, in the shelter's indoor courtyards where she is loose, Maxda is less inhibited and does approach you timidly to investigate. What does she need? A family willing to give her more time, patience, and affection. She is a fantastic dog that needs to slowly lose her fear and learn to trust people. Another confident dog that can serve as a reference would be beneficial for her. We believe a quiet and not too noisy environment, where she can explore without external overstimulation, would be ideal for her. Leishmania analysis is questionable, according to general analyses, there is no suspicion of Ehrlichia.

Maxda es esta preciosa perrita pastora de 4 años y medio de edad. La trajimos de Valencia, de un refugio de animales que había quedado destruido por la DANA. Maxda llegó a ALBA muy asustada. Poco a poco, dedicándole tiempo y atención ya hemos ido viendo progresos. Es una perrita muy curiosa y a la que le encanta explorar, por lo que aunque al principio se bloqueaba, ya sale a pasear en entornos tranquilos y con mucha calma y paciencia. No tiene especial problema con el arnés ni la correa, su principal temor es hacia las personas. Maxda convive con Rubio, otro perrito que también viene de Valencia, y se apoya mucho en él, se siente mucho más cómoda en su compañía y le busca todo el rato durante el paseo para sentirse segura. Cuando estamos con ella, en los patios interiores del albergue, donde está suelta, Maxda se cohibe menos y sí que se te acerca tímidamente para investigarte. ¿Qué necesita? Pues una familia dispuesta a darle bastante más tiempo, paciencia y cariño. Es una perra fantástica que necesita perder el miedo poco a poco y aprender a confiar en las personas. Otro perro seguro de si mismo que pueda servirle de referente no le vendría nada mal. Creemos que un entorno tranquilo y no muy ruidoso, donde pueda explorar sin sobre estimulación externa, sería lo ideal para ella.
