Hello everyone! 🐾 My name is Nikita and this is my story... In 2016 I was caught by the Licata dog shelter with a severe wound on my paw. Nothing is known about my life before that day: I don't know where I was born, nor what really happened to me before arriving there. The only certainty is that since then I have lived in a dog shelter box 💔 Unfortunately, that injury was never properly treated over time and, over the years, my paw has become atrophied. But despite this, I have never stopped moving forward. I have learned to live with my limitation and to find my balance, step by step. My life, however, is not only made of a difficult past. Since I was taken care of, I have slowly begun to discover a new world: walks outside the box, cuddles, attention and care that I had never had before. Every small experience is a huge achievement for me. I am a very sweet female dog, sensitive and very grateful. I love human contact, I slowly trust and when I open my heart I become a tender and present companion. I still have a lot to learn, but I also have a lot of desire to finally live a real life next to someone who truly chooses me.

Ciao a tutti! 🐾 Mi chiamo Nikita e questa è la mia storia… Nel 2016 sono stata accalappiata dal canile di Licata con una grave lacerazione alla zampa. Non si conosce nulla della mia vita precedente a quel giorno: non so dove sia nata, né cosa mi sia successo davvero prima di arrivare lì. L’unica certezza è che da allora vivo in un box di canile 💔 Purtroppo quella ferita non è mai stata curata nel tempo e, con gli anni, la mia zampa è diventata atrofizzata. Ma nonostante questo, io non ho mai smesso di andare avanti. Ho imparato a convivere con il mio limite e a trovare il mio equilibrio, passo dopo passo. La mia vita, però, non è fatta solo di passato difficile. Da quando sono stata presa in carico, sto lentamente iniziando a scoprire un mondo nuovo: le passeggiate fuori dal box, le coccole, le attenzioni e le cure che non ho mai avuto prima. Ogni piccola esperienza per me è una conquista enorme. Sono una cagnolina dolcissima, sensibile e molto riconoscente. Amo il contatto umano, mi fido piano piano e quando apro il cuore divento una compagna tenera e presente. Ho ancora tanto da imparare, ma ho anche tanta voglia di vivere finalmente una vita vera accanto a qualcuno che mi scelga davvero.
