Karma: Hypoallergenic Royal Canin (dry food) Health condition: Food allergies—Karma is on a hypoallergenic diet. Piękna is a beautiful miniature shepherd with shorter legs; in photos she appears larger, but in reality she’s smaller in size. She’s a somewhat anxious little dog with a strong need for closeness. She’s open to affection, loves tug-of-war games, relaxing on the meadow, and taking walks in the forest. Piękna bonds very quickly with her caregiver. At the sight of a familiar person, she gets overly excited. Currently, we’re working on calming her down, gradually desensitizing her, and building her self-confidence. Walking with Piękna is a real pleasure. At first, she might be a bit energetic, but after a while, out on the meadow or in the forest, she relaxes, gathers her olfactory impressions, and happily shares them with you. When it comes to choosing a walking route, she can be flexible, but most often, simply pointing her toward an interesting direction is enough. On the exercise yard, she explores and patrols a bit. She’s reluctant to look at dogs passing along the fence—some she barks at—but if you offer her an appealing alternative (like playing with a clicker or gentle petting), she’ll let go of territorial dramas. When she encounters other dogs during walks, her reaction depends on the distance between them: the closer and more unexpected the encounter, the more intense her reaction will be. She can calmly pass by a dog about 10 meters away (as long as that dog isn’t coming toward her). We’re looking for a home for Piękna: —a home ready to work on calming her emotional outbursts— a home that can provide her with the peace she finds hard to achieve in the shelter— a home willing to become her trustworthy guides.

To trochę zestresowana pieska z dużą potrzebą bliskości. Otwarta na pieszczoty, lubi zabawę szarpakiem, chillout na łące i spacery po lesie. Piękna bardzo szybko przywiązuje się do opiekuna. Na widok znajomej osoby cieszy się, aż za bardzo. Aktualnie pracujemy nad wyciszeniem, stopniowym odwrażliwianiem i budowaniem jej pewności siebie. Spacery z Piękną to duża przyjemność. Może na początku jest trochę wyrywna, ale po chwili na łące lub w lesie wyluzowuje, zbiera sobie swoje węchowe informacje i chętnie się nimi dzieli. W kwestii wyboru trasy spaceru potrafi pójść na kompromis, ale najczęściej wystarczy jej jasne wskazanie ciekawego kierunku. Na wybiegu eksploruje i trochę patroluje. Niechętnie patrzy na psy przechodzące wzdłuż ogrodzenia – niektóre obszczekuje, ale jeśli zapewni jej się atrakcyjną alternatywę (np. zabawę z klikerem lub delikatne pieszczoty), to odpuści sobie terytorialne dramy. Na widok innych psów spotkanych w trakcie spaceru reaguje zależnie od dystansu, który je dzieli – im bliższe i bardziej niespodziewane spotkanie, tym bardziej gwałtowna reakcja. Potrafi spokojnie przejść obok psa oddalonego o około 10 m (pod warunkiem, że ten nie idzie z naprzeciwka).
