Ryszard is a stray male cat from Milanówka who desperately needs a home, even if it's temporary. He was caught due to his emaciation and eating problems. It turned out that he has an advanced tooth disease. A procedure was performed, several teeth were removed, and the calculus was cleaned. Now, the male cat, without pain, is eating, making up for months of starvation. Unfortunately, FIV/FeLV shallow tests came back positive - the blood was sent for further, more detailed tests, whose results will show whether the kitten truly has FIV and FeLV. He cannot be released back into the environment to avoid infecting other cats and to protect himself from diseases. Ryszard is a stray cat and is wary of people; we don't know what he's been through in his life. Currently, he resides in a clinic, but he will have to leave soon. He cannot return to the environment, so he either needs a home or a solution, which we are not yet considering. Doctors and technicians are working to build trust with Ryszard, and it's yielding some small results. Ryszard is a voracious eater, finally able to eat without pain after months of starvation, so he has a good appetite for treats. Ryszard is looking for a home that does not have other cats or that can provide isolation (FIV and FeLV are only transmitted through direct and intense contact between cats) –> UPDATE: PCR FIV/FeLV tests came back negative! Sometimes, when a cat is undergoing some other inflammatory process (_Ryszard was congested and had a mouth ulcer), shallow tests can come back falsely positive. PCR tests are more reliable. We are still looking for a home for Ryszard, as it would be a shame to release him, but he is not a threat to other cats. Not suitable for homes with cats.

Ryszard to bezdomny kocurek z Milanówka, który bardzo potrzebuje domu, chociażby tymczasowego. Został złapany z powodu wychudzenia i problemów z jedzeniem. Okazało się, że ma zaawansowaną chorobę przyzębia. Przeprowadzono zabieg, usunięto sporo zębów, wyczyszczono kamień i teraz kocurek, już bez bólu pochłania jedzenie, nadrabiając miesiące głodowania. Niestety okazało się, że testy płytkowe na FIV/FeLV wyszły pozytywne - krew wysłano na dalsze, bardziej szczegółowe badania, których wyniki pokażą czy kotek rzeczywiście ma FIV i FeLV. Nie może być na razie wypuszczony z powrotem do środowiska, żeby nie zarażał innych kotów i sam nie narażał się na choroby. Ryszard jest kotkiem bezdomnym i nieufnym do ludzi, nie wiemy co przeszedł w życiu. Obecnie przebywa w lecznicy, jednak już niedługo będzie musiał ją opuścić. Nie może wrócić do środowiska, więc pozostaje albo dom albo rozwiązanie, o którym na razie staramy się nie myśleć. Lekarze i technicy starają się pracować na zaufanie Ryszarda i przynosi to niewielkie efekty. Ryszard jest łakomczuchem, po miesiącach głodówki wreszcie może jeść bez bólu, więc jest łasy na smakołyki. Ryszard szuka domu niewychodzącego, bez kotów lub z możliwością izolacji (FIV i FeLV przenoszą się tylko w bezpośrednim i intensywnym kontakcie między kotami)—-> UPDATE: Testy PCR FIV/FeLV wyszły negatywne! Czasem się zdarza, gdy w kocie toczy się jakiś inny proces zapalny (Ryszard był zakatarzony i miał masakrę w pyszczku), że szybkie, płytkowe testy wychodzą fałszywie pozytywne. Testy PCR są bardziej miarodajne. Nadal szukamy Ryśkowi domu, bo szkoda go wypuszczać, ale nie jest zagrożeniem dla innych kotów.
