24-07-26 Sara is a sweet and nervous lady who has come into our care from a breeder. She is a very pretty girl who is good with her kennel friends, all of whom are a similar size to her. Sara is easy to handle, although she can be nervous when approached and will need a little time to feel comfortable with new people. Sara gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Sara has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and allow her time to adjust to her new surroundings. Sara will need a adult-only home where she can settle in at her own pace and who understand ex-breeders and have experience with nervous dogs. Sara has a Grade 1 heart murmur, which does not currently seem to bother her, and a Grade 1 patella luxation. This may continue to improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle, and our vets will monitor her to ensure she remains comfortable. Sara is a lovely, gentle girl who is still finding her confidence. With a confident canine companion and a patient family to help her along the way, we hope she will continue to grow in confidence and enjoy all the lovely things that home life has to offer. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
