Smerfik arrived at the shelter in very poor condition. He was lonely, untreated, and the feline flu had already caused extensive damage. Unfortunately, his eyes could not be saved. At the shelter, he underwent enucleation, a procedure to remove the diseased eye. One might think that after all this, he would lose trust in people. That he would be afraid of an outstretched hand. Smerfik is a wonderful, beloved tomcat who really likes people. When he wants to be on your lap, he can purr loudly and beautifully, as if to say: "Take me away, I want to be close to you." And when he's not sitting on your lap? He runs, climbs, and enjoys life as if nothing had happened. The lack of an eye doesn't bother him at all. Smerfik copes perfectly and is an energetic, curious kitten.

Smerfik trafił do schroniska w bardzo złym stanie. Był samotny, nieleczony, a koci katar zdążył wyrządzić ogromne szkody. Niestety, jego oczka nie udało się już uratować. W schronisku przeszedł zabieg enukleacji, czyli usunięcia chorego oczka. Można by pomyśleć, że po tym wszystkim straci zaufanie do ludzi. Że będzie bał się wyciągniętej ręki. Smerfik jest cudownym, kochanym kocurkiem, który bardzo lubi człowieka. Kiedy chce na kolanka, potrafi głośno i pięknie mruczeć, jakby chciał powiedzieć: „Zabierz mnie stąd, chcę być blisko Ciebie”. A kiedy akurat nie siedzi na kolanach? Biega, wspina się i korzysta z życia tak, jakby nigdy nic się nie wydarzyło. Brak oczka w niczym mu nie przeszkadza. Smerfik doskonale sobie radzi i jest pełnym energii, ciekawym świata kotkiem.
