Once he gets to know you, he enjoys a good fuss and has a playful side too—he’s especially fond of his soft toys and a fun game of tug! He’s a clever lad who has been doing well with his training and enjoys learning new things. Spud is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can feel relaxed and settled. He would prefer to be the only pet, as he can feel a little overwhelmed around other dogs. He’ll benefit from quieter walking areas where he can enjoy his outings at a comfortable distance from other dogs while continuing to build his confidence. To help him feel safe out and about, Spud will need to be on lead and wear a muzzle in public. With the right guidance and ongoing positive training, this will become part of his routine and help him enjoy his walks more comfortably. He’s used to being left for short periods, and this can be gradually built up as he settles into his new home.
