Melon sta cercando la sua casa per il riposo definitivo! Può vivere con bambini che frequentano la scuola secondaria di secondo grado, che comprendano che è una ragazza più grande e che avrà bisogno di spazio per rilassarsi talvolta. Melon vorrebbe essere l'unico animale in casa, così da ricevere tutta l'attenzione, ma è più che felice di condividere le sue passeggiate con compagni tranquilli e educati che non si aspettano gioco o tanta interazione da parte sua. Ha un addestramento base e sa sedersi, mettere la zampa e sdraiarsi, ama i suoi snack e può imparare di più per un dolce premio. Essendo addestrata all'uso del vasino, potrebbe vivere in una casa con un giardino privato o comunitario, oppure senza giardino, dato che ha molte opportunità di uscire per andare in bagno. Una volta che si sarà ambientata in casa, Melon può essere lasciata per circa 4 ore se costruita positivamente e gradualmente. A causa della sua età, Melon prende alcuni farmaci quotidiani, che saranno forniti ai potenziali adottanti una volta che saranno abbinati a lei. Melon dovrà incontrare i suoi adottanti alcune volte prima di andare a casa, quindi considerate questo quando fate domanda. Si prega di notare che, se sarete selezionati, il nostro processo di adozione richiede solitamente fino a 7 giorni e i potenziali adottanti dovranno recarsi al centro entro 48 ore dalla selezione. È una signora accomodante, con il cuore giovane, che apprezzano le avventure olfattive e i sonnellini sul letto in egual misura. Non ha mostrato interesse per giocare con i giochi o inseguire una palla. Tra le passeggiate, è contenta semplicemente di guardare il mondo passare e riposare. Melon is looking for her forever retirement home! She can live with secondary school aged children who understand she is an older girl and will need space to just relax at times. Melon would like to be the only pet in the home, so she can have all of the attention to herself, but is more than happy to share her strolls with some calm & polite walking buddies that don’t expect play or lots of interaction from her. She has her basic training and knows sit, paw & down, she loves her snacks so can be encouraged to learn more for a tasty treat. As she’s housetrained, she could live in a home with either a private or communal garden, or no garden given she has plenty of opportunity to go outside for toilet breaks. Once she’s settled into the home, Melon could be left for around 4 hours if built up positively & gradually. Due to her age, Melon does take some daily medication, which potential adopters will be given the details of upon being matched to her. Melon will need to meet her adopters a couple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Gorgeous girl Melon is an 11-year-old Border Collie who, despite her age, still love to go out & explore, sniff and investigate everything! She is an easy-going, young-at-heart lady who enjoys sniffy adventures and snoozes on her bed in equal measure. She hasn’t shown any interest in playing with toys or chasing a ball. Between walks, she’s content just to watch the world go by and rest. She travels well in the car should you wish to take her on adventures further afield!
