There are stories that break your heart... and this is one of them. Ocho arrived at eight months old, with her mother, depending on each other. Her mommy fortunately found a foster home, but had to leave behind her daughter, Ocho. Ocho is a cute mixed breed with short fur, colors that remind you of a shepherd. She's only eight months old. Eight months... and already knows fear, walks with fear, the outside world terrifies her, the sounds, the streets, the unknown... and when a puppy has so much fear, it's not by chance, it's experience. While she was with her mother, she clung to her, to be able to walk safely, calmly. Now her mother is gone, she has to learn to do it alone. Slowly, she's learning that the world away from her mother doesn't have to be scary, it can also be fun, it can receive love, it can play, it can become a puppy again. She gets along great with dogs, she's a very playful puppy who accepts any dog, regardless of size. Even when a dog scolds her, she understands perfectly. If she crosses paths with another dog and it barks at her, she shows no fear. She also gets along well with cats. Now they're in a kennel enclosure. Cold, noisy, impersonal, and it breaks our hearts to think about everything she's been through. Before, she had her mother, now she's lost the only stability and what she knew as her animal shelter. Ocho needs to leave the animal shelter; it's not a place for a puppy like her. Ocho deserves to discover that life isn't always painful, that walks can be peaceful, that hands can be gentle.

Hay historias que te rompen por dentro... y esta es una de ellas. Ocho llegó con ocho meses, junto a su madre, dependiendo la una de la otra. Su mami afortunadamente se encuentra ya en una casita de acogida, pero ha tenido que dejar atrás a su hija, a Ocho. Ocho es una mestiza peciosa, de pelito corto, colores que recuerdan a un pastor. Tiene tan solo 8 meses. 8 meses... y ya conoce el miedo, pasear la asusta, el mundo exterior le asusta, los ruidos, las calles, lo desconocido... y cuando un cachorro tiene tanto miedo, no es casualidad, es experiencia. Mientras estuvo con su madre, se aferraba a ella, para poder caminar segura, tranquila. Ahora su madre no está, tiene que aprender a hacerlo sola. Poco a poco esta aprendiendo, a que el mundo lejos de su madre no tiene por qué dar miedo, también puede ser divertido, también puede recibir cariño, también puede jugar, también puede volver a ser una perrita. Con perros se lleva genial, es una perrita muy juguetona que acepta a cualquier perro, sin importar el tamaño. Incluso cuando un perro le regaña, ella lo entiende perfectamente. Si se cruza con otro perro y le ladra, ella se muestra tranquila. Con gatos también se lleva bien.. Ahora están en un chenil. Frío, ruidoso, impersonal, y se nos parte el alma de pensar que después de todo lo vivido. Antes tenía a su madre, ahora ha perdido lo único estable y lo que ella conocía como su refugio. Ocho necesita salir del refugio, no es lugar para un cachorro como ella. Ocho merece descubrir que la vida no siempre duele, que los paseos pueden ser tranquilos, que las manos pueden ser suaves.
