Type/Race: Chinchilla Age: born on 06/03/2021 History: Adorable chinchilla who has experienced a major change in her life: she and other animals of the same species were taken in by the pound following the owner's death. Personality: Friendly with humans, Samalo enjoys contact but only if it is up to him. He should not be handled abruptly. Curious and full of energy, Samalo loves exploring his environment, running everywhere and leaping onto the walls with impressive agility! However, what he loves most is playing with his friends by making little noises to surprise them... then dashing off to invite them to play with him. Just like Saaya and Tagada, if cohabitation with other animals of the same species goes very well, the same can be said about his relationships with dogs, cats, and even rabbits in the same household. Indeed, Samalo has no trace of aggression and knows how to adapt to his environment and the living beings that are there. He likes to attract their attention and play with them. However, as with any chinchilla, the presence of birds and reptiles should be avoided, as they are a source of stress. Also, chinchillas are social animals. Therefore, as there are currently three of them, they will not be separable (unless it is a single one for the first adoption, and only to join another chinchilla). Caractère : Sociable avec l’humain, Samalo apprécie le contact mais seulement si c’est lui qui le décide. Il ne faut pas le manipuler brusquement. Curieux et plein d’énergie, Samalo adore explorer son environnement, courir partout et bondir sur les murs avec une agilité impressionnante ! Cela dit, ce qu’il aime par dessus tout, c’est jouer avec ses copains en faisant de petits bruits pour les surprendre… avant de partir en trombe pour les inviter à s’amuser avec lui. Tout comme Saaya et Tagada, si la cohabitation avec ses congénères se passe très bien, on peut en dire autant de ses ententes avec les chiens, chats et même lapins présents dans la même famille. En effet, Samalo n’a aucune once d’agressivité et sait s’adapter à son environnement et les êtres vivants qui s’y trouvent. Il aime attirer leur attention et jouer avec eux. Mais comme pour tout chinchilla, on évitera la présence d’oiseaux et de reptiles, source de stress. Aussi, les chinchillas sont grégaires. Donc, comme ils sont actuellement 3, ils ne seront pas séparables (sauf s’il s’agit d’un seul, pour la première adoption, et uniquement pour rejoindre un autre congénère).
