SKY lived in a neighborhood in Lipari. A small female dog very sweet, followed by volunteers who take care of feeding and looking after the animals in the neighborhood, an area where there had already been incidents of abuse. Unfortunately, SKY was a victim, ending up in a trap. For several days, the volunteers tried to catch her, but she was very scared and, overwhelmed by the pain, kept running away, worsening the physical situation. She suffered, bled and often could be heard crying in the woods, until she finally allowed herself to be rescued. The veterinarian, in a long intervention, was able to save her life, but not the leg. From the terrible situation experienced, she is left with frightened eyes. Now SKY lives at the animal shelter Enpa of Isole Eolie, she can no longer be reintegrated into the territory, the wound has healed and she is getting used to moving on three legs. The volunteers try to give her a peaceful daily life and with the four-legged friends that live together with her she gets along very well. The wish is that the right family comes soon for SKY, who loves her and makes her forget the bad memories.

Sky viveva in un quartiere di Lipari. Una cagnolina molto dolce, seguita dai volontari che si occupano di alimentare e accudire gli animali del quartiere, una zona dove si erano già verificati episodi di maltrattamento. E proprio Sky purtroppo ne è stata vittima, finendo in una tagliola. Per diversi giorni i volontari hanno tentato di prenderla, ma lei era molto spaventata e, sopraffatta dal dolore, continuava a fuggire, peggiorando la situazione fisica. Soffriva, perdeva sangue e spesso si sentiva piangere nel bosco, fino a quando si è finalmente lasciata recuperare. La veterinaria, in un lungo intervento, ha potuto salvarle la vita, ma non la zampa. Della terribile situazione vissuta, le sono rimasti gli occhioni spaventati. Ora Sky vive al rifugio Enpa di Isole Eolie, non può più essere reinserita sul territorio, la ferita è guarita e si sta abituando a muoversi con tre zampe. I volontari cercano di darle una quotidianità serena e con i compagni a quattrozampe che vivono insieme a lei va molto d’accordo. L’augurio è che per Sky arrivi presto la famiglia giusta, che le voglia bene e le faccia dimenticare i brutti ricordi.
