Alonzo, a beautiful Hungarian mixed-breed dog, was found wandering alone in the city of Albertirsa and reported to the local shelter. Fortunately, he was easily caught and brought to the shelter. Unfortunately, no microchip was found during the check, and no one reported Alonzo missing. This is always incomprehensible to us. The shelter in Albertirsa asked the Menhely shelter to take over Alonzo, and on July 16, 2026, he was transferred to Kecskemét. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this will be only a short stop on his way to his forever home. Alonzo is a great fellow, open, energetic, friendly, and agile, sometimes a bit restless with joy. He urgently needs physical and mental exercise and wants to be challenged and encouraged to develop into a reliable and loyal companion. It is equally important: he still needs to learn to calm down, but this is difficult in a shelter, so a home of his own where he can relax would be ideal. Alonzo needs a clearly defined framework in which he can develop and a consistent but loving leadership. He would certainly enjoy sports activities such as jogging, hiking, agility, anything that humans and dogs enjoy together, and his new owners can discover his hidden talents. Of course, Alonzo still needs to go to school, but he seems to be a clever fellow and will quickly understand how things work. His will to learn must now be directed into the right channels. With his fellow dogs, Alonzo gets along well under supervision, but he currently lives alone in a kennel (as of September 10, 2026). We are looking for experienced, responsible, and adventurous people who can give Alonzo an exciting and varied life and allow him to catch up on all the things he missed. Full family connection, dog school, long walks, sports activities, play and fun, rest, clear rules, lots of cuddles, patience, and love would make Alonzo very happy. Who will enter into a lifelong dog-human partnership with Alonzo?

Ursprungsland: Ungarn Der bildschöne Alonzo wurde in der Stadt Albertirsa alleine umherstreunend gefunden und dem dortigen Shelter gemeldet. Zum Glück liess er sich gut einfangen und konnte so ins Tierheim gebracht werden. Bei der Chipkontrolle wurde man leider nicht fündig und auch sonst hat niemand Alonzo als vermisst gemeldet. Wie immer unverständlich für uns. Das Tierheim in Albertirsa bat das Menhely um Übernahme von Alonzo und somit führte ihn sein Weg am 16.7.2026 nach Kecskemét. Wir drücken ihm fest die Daumen, dass es für ihn nur eine kurze Zwischenstation bleiben wird, auf seinem weiteren Weg in ein eigenes Zuhause. Alonzo ist ein toller Bursche, aufgeschlossen, aufgestellt, freundlich und agil, manchmal etwas stürmisch vor Freude. Er braucht dringend körperliche und geistige Auslastung und möchte gefordert und gefördert werden, damit er sich weiter zu einem zuverlässigen und treuen Begleiter entwickeln kann. Ebenso wichtig: Er muss noch lernen, zur Ruhe zu kommen, aber das ist in einem Tierheim auch schwierig, daher wäre ein eigenes Daheim, wo er runterfahren kann ideal. Alonzo braucht einen klar gesteckten Rahmen, in dem er sich entfalten und entwickeln kann und eine konsequente, aber liebevolle Führung. Sicherlich hätte er viel Freude an sportlichen Aktivitäten, wie Joggen, Wandern, Agility, einfach alles was Mensch und Hund zusammen Spass macht und welche unentdeckten Talente in ihm schlummern, dürfen dann seine neuen Zweibeiner herausfinden. Natürlich muss auch Alonzo noch etwas die Schulbank drücken, aber er scheint ein schlaues Kerlchen zu sein und wird schnell verstehen, wie der Hase läuft. Sein Lernwille muss nun in die richtigen Bahnen gelenkt werden. Mit seinen Artgenossen versteht sich Alonzo unter Aufsicht soweit gut, im Zwinger lebt er aber aktuell (10.9.2026) alleine. Für unseren wundervollen Alonzo suchen wir hundeerfahrene, verantwortungsbewusste und unternehmungslustige Menschen welche Alonzo ein abwechslungsreiches und spannendes Leben schenken und er all das Versäumte nachholen darf. Voller Familienanschluss, Hundeschule, ausgedehnte Spaziergänge, sportliche Aktivitäten, Spiel und Spass, Ruhe, klare Regeln, ganz viele Streicheleinheiten, Geduld und Liebe würden Alonzo sehr glücklich machen.
