At just 1 year old, AMI is a lively and affectionate young Border Collie. Behind his boundless energy and enthusiasm lies a highly gentle dog, very close to humans and always seeking contact and sharing. AMI's story partly explains the challenges he faces today. After a palatal surgery as a puppy, he had to remain in convalescence and activity restriction until around 5 months of age. This crucial period of world discovery and socialization was unfortunately severely limited. Subsequently, despite her best intentions and attachment to him, his human was no longer able to manage him physically. Already very powerful and energetic for his young age, AMI did not receive the exposure and learning he needed to grow with confidence and develop good emotional management. Today, AMI is a young dog with much to learn to better manage his emotions, frustrations, and excitement in various daily situations. He is not a "difficult" dog, but one who missed out on learning opportunities when he needed them most. AMI is looking for a family: Active and dynamic, capable of meeting his physical and mental needs. Patient and committed, willing to continue his educational support with kindness. Aware that progress will require time, regularity, and understanding. Eager to build a genuine trust relationship with him. AMI is very affectionate, close to humans, and adores sharing moments with his reference people. He currently pulls a lot on the leash, and his energy can sometimes be impressive, but behind this enthusiasm lies a sensitive, intelligent, and deeply endearing dog. We prefer a home without cats. With the right support, AMI has everything it takes to become an extraordinary companion. His potential is immense, and he just needs to be guided to evolve serenely in our world. À seulement 1 an, AMI est un jeune Border Collie débordant de vie, d’affection et de bonne volonté. Derrière son énergie et son enthousiasme se cache un chien extrêmement gentil, proche de l’humain et toujours en recherche de contact et de partage. L’histoire d’AMI explique en partie les difficultés qu’il rencontre aujourd’hui. Suite à une opération du palais lorsqu’il était chiot, il a dû rester en convalescence et en restriction d’activités jusqu’à l’âge d’environ 5 mois. Cette période cruciale de découverte du monde et de socialisation a malheureusement été fortement limitée. Par la suite, son humaine, malgré toute sa bonne volonté et son attachement pour lui, n’était plus en mesure de le gérer sereinement physiquement. Déjà très puissant et énergique pour son jeune âge, AMI n’a pas pu bénéficier de toute l’exposition et des apprentissages dont il aurait eu besoin pour grandir en confiance et développer une bonne gestion émotionnelle. Aujourd’hui, AMI est un jeune chien qui a encore beaucoup à apprendre pour mieux gérer ses émotions, ses frustrations et son excitation face aux différentes situations du quotidien. Ce n’est pas un chien “difficile”, mais un chien qui a manqué d’opportunités d’apprentissage au moment où il en avait le plus besoin. AMI recherche une famille : Active et dynamique, capable de répondre à ses besoins physiques et mentaux. Patiente et engagée, prête à poursuivre son accompagnement éducatif avec bienveillance. Consciente que les progrès demanderont du temps, de la régularité et de la compréhension. Désireuse de construire une véritable relation de confiance avec lui. AMI est très affectueux, proche de l’humain et adore partager des moments avec ses personnes de référence. Il tire actuellement beaucoup en laisse et son énergie peut parfois être impressionnante, mais derrière cette fougue se cache un chien sensible, intelligent et profondément attachant. Nous privilégierons un foyer sans chat. Avec le bon accompagnement, AMI a tout pour devenir un compagnon extraordinaire. Son potentiel est immense et il ne demande qu’à être guidé pour apprendre à évoluer sereinement dans notre monde. AMI est un véritable diamant à l’état brut.
