Karma: Renal (wet) Health condition: kidney failure—details will be discussed directly with the veterinarian at the shelter.Bonita is an elderly lady who is incredibly cheerful and delights in every moment spent with humans. She absolutely loves being petted; whenever she’s near a person, she immediately leans in for affection. When you stop petting her, she’ll ask for more by gently pawing at you or climbing onto your lap. She’s likely almost completely blind, as she sometimes bumps into walls or other objects—but she doesn’t let that bother her and marches confidently ahead, curious about the world around her. She ignores or sniffs other dogs, so she’d do very well in a home with another dog, or even a cat. Unfortunately, due to neglect by her previous owner, Bonita probably has kidneys that aren’t functioning quite as they should. Right now, she’s on Renal wet food, but once she finds her forever home, it might be worth considering cooked meals—of course, after consulting with a veterinarian. Bonita is looking for a home where she can experience peace and tenderness. She’s seeking someone who can provide her with a sense of security and endless belly rubs 🙂

Uwielbia być głaskana, gdy tylko jest obok człowieka to już się nadstawia do pieszczot. Kiedy przestanie się ją drapać, domaga się więcej drapiąc łapką lub gramoląc się na kolana. Najprawdopodobniej jest prawie całkowicie ślepa, ponieważ wchodzi w ściany lub inne obiekty, ale nie przejmuje się tym i żwawo maszeruje przed siebie ciekawa świata. Inne pieski ignoruje lub obwąchuje, odnalazłaby się bardzo dobrze w domu z innym psem, a nawet z kotem. Niestety najprawdopodobniej w wyniku zaniedbania ze strony poprzedniego właściciela Bonita ma nie do końca sprawne nerki tak jak powinny być. Aktualnie jest na mokrej karmie Renal, ale po trafieniu do domu można by się zastanowić nad gotowanym jedzeniem – oczywiście po konsultacji z weterynarzem. Bonita szuka domu gdzie zazna spokoju oraz czułości. Szuka kogoś, kto zapewni jej poczucie bezpieczeństwa i nieskończonego drapania po zadku 🙂
