17-04-26 Carry is een liefdevolle, zachte meisje die bij ons is aangekomen vanaf een fokker en is momenteel erg bang, schuw en onzeker met mensen. Ze zal veel tijd, geduld en zorg nodig hebben in haar nieuwe huis om haar te helpen vertrouwen te krijgen en een liefdevolle band op te bouwen met haar familie. Zodra ze je kent, zal ze naar je toe komen voor aandacht, maar op dit moment is ze niet comfortabel met het worden opgepakt, want dat is nog heel nieuw voor haar. Carry zoekt een rustige en stilte, alleen volwassen huis waarin ze zich op haar eigen tempo kan settelen. Ze heeft steun nodig van andere honden en zal minstens één vriendelijke en zelfverzekerde huisdierhond nodig hebben in haar nieuwe huis. Een hondenvriend zal haar bevestiging geven en haar helpen bij de leerproces over thuiskomen, waardoor ze iemand heeft om op te steunen terwijl haar zelfvertrouwen groeit. Aangezien Carry nog nooit in een huis heeft geleefd, zullen haar adoptanten begrijpend moeten zijn terwijl zij de basisvaardigheden leert, zoals toilettraining en lopen aan de lijn. De grote wereld kan op het eerste gezicht overweldigend zijn voor haar, dus het starten met rustige, zachte ervaringen, zoals het verkennen van de tuin, zal haar helpen om stap voor stap zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen. Met liefde, geduld en begrip heeft Carry alle potentie om te bloeien tot een gelukkige en vertrouwende partner. Onze dierenartsen hebben gemerkt dat Carry een graden 3 patella luxatie heeft in haar rechter achterpoot, wat momenteel geen problemen veroorzaakt en mogelijk verbetering kan vertonen met zachte beweging, maar moet worden gemonitord door haar adoptanten en hun dierenarts. Als ze in de toekomst behandeling nodig heeft, wordt dat niet gedekt door verzekering. Carry heeft een reisdocument. Deze hond kan in een huis met een bestaande hond komen.

Carry is a sweet and gentle girl who came to us from a breeder looking for a fresh start. When she first arrived, she was very scared and unsure of people, but she has already made some wonderful progress during her time with us and is becoming more confident every day. Carry is now a happy and lively little lady with a constantly wagging tail. She has discovered toys and is learning how to play with them, something she is thoroughly enjoying, and she has also revealed herself to be quite the foodie, which has been a great help in building her confidence. Although Carry is still nervous about direct handling and may move away if approached too quickly, she is incredibly curious and always likes to be close by, watching what is going on. She is happy to approach people for a sniff and will gently take treats from your hand, showing just how far she has come already. We feel it won't be long before she starts to feel comfortable accepting gentle fusses from those she trusts. Carry will be looking for a calm and quiet adult-only home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. She relies heavily on other dogs for reassurance and will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home. A canine companion will help guide her through new experiences and provide comfort as she settles into family life. As Carry has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be understanding while she learns the basics, such as house training and walking on a lead. We have not yet started harness training with her, but as her confidence continues to grow, we feel she is becoming ready to begin exploring this next step. Her adopters should be prepared to continue this training gently and positively once she is home. Carry is the kind of dog who can brighten even the darkest of days. She is an absolute joy to spend time with and, in a loving home where she is given patience, understanding, and plenty of reassurance, we believe she will truly blossom into a happy and trusting companion. Our vets have noted that Carry has a Grade 3 patella luxation in her right hind leg. This is not causing her any issues at present and may improve with gentle exercise, but it will need to be monitored by her adopters and their veterinary team. Should treatment be required in the future, this condition would not be covered by insurance. Carry has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
