02-06-26 Dawn is a frightened little lady who has come to us from a breeder and is finding her new surroundings quite overwhelming. She is understandably wary of people and doesn't yet understand that humans can be kind and caring companions. It is clear that Dawn has had very limited experience around people, and she will need a patient and understanding home that can allow her to build trust and form relationships at her own pace. While she may be unsure now, we believe that with time, consistency, and compassion, Dawn can learn to feel safe and secure in a loving home. Dawn will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can look to for reassurance as she learns about family life. The company of another dog will be invaluable in helping her gain confidence and settle into her new environment. Having never lived in a home before, Dawn will need gentle guidance as she learns about house training, household routines, and all the new experiences that come with being a beloved pet. Lead walking may feel far too daunting for her initially, so spending time exploring a secure garden and enjoying gentle sniffing sessions would be a wonderful first step towards building her confidence. Dawn is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where she can settle in peacefully and without pressure. She can be a little defensive when being handled as she is still learning to trust, so her adopters will need to be understanding of her fears and committed to helping her feel safe. This sweet girl deserves the chance to experience love, comfort, and security for the first time in her life. With plenty of patience, kindness, and TLC, Dawn has every opportunity to blossom into a happy and cherished companion. Dawn has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
