Dżeki arrived at the animal shelter at the beginning of December 2023, estimated to be around 3 years old as a young dog. He is an adorable, small but not very tiny puppy with a biscuit-colored coat. For some time, he lived in a temporary home, but unfortunately, after his caregiver fell ill, he ended up in the shelter’s kennel. The cold winter was particularly harsh for him due to his short fur. Luckily, it didn’t sap his energy. Dżeki has plenty of it. He’s a dog with a lot of energy. In the kennel, he energetically begs for attention from people. In excitement, he finally puts on a harness to go for a walk. And there, he’s in a whole new world—smells, freedom. Dżeki walks with vigor, but doesn’t pull much. He will sniff here, then there. When called, he responds, but during the walk, he doesn’t focus strongly on the person. Despite the impression he makes, Dżeki isn’t very confident, and he has his fears. But with the support of a human, he manages to deal with them—like the nearby WKD train, which was once a big challenge, but today Dżeki walks past it without a second glance. He reacts to other dogs differently. With some, he plays like a grown-up and walks with them splendidly. But the stay in the shelter kennel unfortunately made him less indifferent to other dogs, and he rather likes to bark at passing canines. But also in such situations, when a person focuses on supporting the boy, he manages to significantly shorten the excitement of another dog. The stay in the animal shelter, however, clearly hasn’t served Dżeki well, as evidenced by the fact that upon returning from a walk to the noise of the animal shelter, Dżeki chirps nervously… Dżeki is still a bit of a child—cheerful and grateful—but he still has a lot to learn. Fortunately, he’s also a smart dog who will do a lot for treats. We are sure that with his human companions, he will find his way to a warm, loving home. We hope only that he finds it soon. Only in home conditions will Dżeki have the chance to finally calm down, settle, and fully relax. And we most hope that he finds a home before winter, because his short-haired body doesn’t fare well with low temperatures.

Dżeki trafił do schroniska na początku grudnia 2023r. jako oceniony na ok. 3 lata psi młodzieniec. Jest uroczym, niedużym ale i nie bardzo małym pieskiem o biszkoptowym umaszczeniu. Przez jakiś czas mieszkał w domu tymczasowym, ale niestety po chorobie swojej opiekunki, trafił do schroniskowego boksu. Ma krótką sierść przez co zima w schronisku była dla niego szczególnie sroga. Na szczęście nie odebrało mu to werwy. A tej Dżeki ma dużo. Jest pieskiem o sporych zasobach energii. W boksie zabiega mocno o uwagę ludzi. W ekscytacji daje w końcu ubrać się w szelki, by wyjść na spacer. I tam jest już w innym świecie - zapachów, wolności. Dżeki spaceruje z wigorem, ale nie ciągnie jakoś bardzo. Tu powęszy, tam poznaczy. Zawołany reaguje, ale podczas spaceru nie skupia mocno uwagi na człowieku poza tym. Mimo wrażenia jakie sprawia, Dżeki nie jest pewny siebie, ma swoje straszki. Ale wspierany przez człowieka, daje sobie z nimi radę - jak choćby z pobliskim pociągiem WKD, który na początku był wielkim wyzwaniem, a dziś Dżeki mija go bez mrugnięcia okiem. Na inne psy reaguje różnie. Z niektórymi bawi się na całego i wspaniale z nimi spaceruje. Ale mieszkanie w schroniskowym boksie niestety sprawiło, że ogólnie jest na psy coraz mniej obojętny i raczej lubi sobie poszczekać na mijane czworonogi. Ale także w takich sytuacjach, gdy człowiek skupi się na tym, żeby chłopaka wesprzeć, to udaje się ekscytację innym psem znacznie skrócić. Pobyt w schronisku ewidentnie nie służy jednak Dżekusiowi, o czym świadczy fakt, że wracając ze spaceru do hałasu schroniska, Dżeki aż popiskuje z nerwów… Dżeki to trochę jeszcze taki dzieciak - pogodny i wdzięczny - ale jeszcze sporo będzie musiał się nauczyć. Na szczęście jest też psem pojętnym i za smaczki zrobi dużo. Jesteśmy pewni, że poradzi sobie u boku swoich ludzi i szybko odnajdzie się w ciepłym, kochającym domu. Oby tylko taki szybko się znalazł. Tylko w warunkach domowych bowiem, Dżeki będzie miał możliwość by w końcu się wyciszyć, wyspać i w pełni zrelaksować. A najbardziej pragnłęlibymy, żeby do domu trafił przed zimą, bo jego krótkowłose ciałko słabo znosi niskie temperatury.
