Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.BREED: Miniature SchnauzerSEX: Male (Neutered)AGE: Aprox. 13 MonthsSIZE: Small/Medium Olaf has sadly come to us because his owners have become too unwell to care for him anymore. He has come in with another schnauzer a couple of months younger than him so both are now looking for a new home. They do not necessarily need to be homed together, but of course they would be fine to be homed as a pair. Olaf is a friendly boy, he has an engaging personality and is a lively and energetic boy. He loves attention. He has not lived with young children before so we feel best not placed with under 10's. He has also not lived with cats or other small pets. Olaf is looking for an adult home where somebody is about most of the time as he is not used to being left on his own. This will be even more important if going on his own as he has always had doggie company. When a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs. Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
