Both dogs are undersocialised youngsters who really need to each be rehomed with a steady and sociable dog as a mentor friend to help them learn all about just being a normal dog. Although Fred is a lovely little chap, and was very good for a big makeover by our expert groomer, he has had not received any basic training and has seen nothing of the world ouside of where he was bred. Helping him to learn all he needs to know will need a kind, calm, patient and experienced dog owner to enable him to blossom. He is a bright little terrier who will enjoy learning and will develop into a fun companion.George has no domestic history and will not be rehomed with children under 10 years. He is unknown with cats. He is good with other dogs and very playful with them - a typical cheeky young terrier. It is people that he needs to learn all about. He is a lively, active young dog who will need plenty of exercise and stimulation, and company most of the timeWhen a dog moves into a new home, they need time and consideration to help them feel confident and settled. They are having to adjust to a totally different environment, with new people and new challenges, and when one adopts a rescue dog, one must be ready to help them through not just the first few days, but for as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable in their new life. They are relying on their new owners to teach them the house rules and all about the new world they are living in. They are likely to need and benefit from dog training classes, and may also need behavioural help and the adopter may need to seek professional advice. If you are considering adopting, please be very sure that you are committed to the needs of your new friend, as they will be relying on you and their life and happiness is literally in your hands. This will last for their lifetime, so please also take an honest look at your age and activity levels and ensure that you are likely to be able to meet their ongoing needs. Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
