Harold Meet Harold, this handsome young lad who is looking for his second chance at home life.Harold spent just under five months in what we all hoped would be his forever home. During that time, it became clear that the hustle and bustle of London life just wasn't quite his cup of tea. We feel Harold would be much happier in a quieter town, village or more rural setting, where life is a little more relaxed and he can enjoy his surroundings without the constant busyness of a city. We feel a secure, enclosed garden is an important part of his new home. Somewhere he can enjoy some time outside, play and relax in his own space will be a real benefit to him as he settles into family life. The good news is that Harold has made some fantastic progress with his training during his time in a home environment. He is house trained and we are confident he will quickly pick this back up and settle into a routine.Harold is graded Orange, as he is a bright young dog who enjoys learning. He would really benefit from a home where his new family will enjoy continuing his training and giving him plenty of opportunities to use his brain. Harold has already shown us some fantastic responses to training, and we think continuing this work could be a really rewarding way for him and his new family to build a strong bond together.Harold is a very affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his humans. He loves being part of the family and would ideally like a home where someone is around for most of the day, as he really enjoys having company and being involved in everyday life. He isn't looking for a home where he will be left for long periods. He has also shown us some lovely social skills with other dogs. Harold did very well when meeting a spaniel during his dog test and while out and about, he has been exposed to a variety of different breeds. He is generally happy to pass other dogs by or when appropriate, say hello. He can also potentially live with a resident greyhound, provided introductions go well and everyone is comfortable together.Harold is a playful, happy and friendly young boy with lots of love to give. He enjoys having fun, spending time with his people and getting out and about, but he will also benefit from a home that understands the importance of giving him time to settle and helping him continue the good work he has already started.Harold would be best suited to a family with older teenagers or adults rather than young children. This isn't because Harold is an unfriendly boy β quite the opposite β but we feel he will thrive best in a home where interactions can be calmer and more predictable.Harold is looking for someone who will give him the time, patience and companionship he needs to truly settle. In return, we think his new family will have a wonderfully affectionate, fun and loyal companion who is ready to put his first chapter behind him and start again.
