Jess is a gentle and sensitive little girl who came to us from a breeder and is now beginning to settle into foster care. Although she is still timid, she is already showing lovely progress and is slowly starting to build trust with the people around her. Jess is happiest in a calm, quiet environment and will need patient adopters who understand that she may take time to fully come out of her shell. She is beginning to engage more with her foster carer, choosing to stay nearby and happily taking treats, although she is still wary of being touched and may back away if approached too quickly. With gentle reassurance and kindness, she continues to grow in confidence each day. She is living happily with other dogs in foster and really benefits from their company, so Jess will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide and reassure her. She enjoys canine companionship and settles well alongside other dogs both in the home and out on walks. Jess has started lead training and is enjoying gentle walks in very quiet areas. She can still feel unsure around approaching people and may become worried, but she responds well to calm reassurance and will often sit quietly and watch people pass by. The outside world is still quite new to her, so her adopters will need to continue building her confidence gradually and at her pace. Although she had never lived in a home before coming into foster, Jess is settling nicely into a routine and is doing very well with her housetraining. She travels well in a crate, settles calmly when left for short periods and is beginning to relax more around normal household life, although she can still startle at sudden noises or movements. Jess has arrived underweight and will need a healthy diet to help her back to a healthy weight. She has had 4 teeth extracted at the time of her spay. Jess has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
