KIMBO came to our care in a state that tore at the heart: he was severely beaten, with a painful, deep wound on his head. What this young, barely 4-year-old boy had to endure at the hands of someone he considered his master will forever be etched in his eyes. KIMBO is currently deeply scared, frightened, and profoundly withdrawn. Any sudden movement, raised voice, or unfamiliar sound causes the boy to cower, seeking refuge in the farthest corner of the kennel. Despite such terrible injuries, there is not a single ounce of aggression in KIMBO – it is a dog of a gentle heart, reacting with total withdrawal to fear.
