Beaucoup affirment en effet que la cohabitation entre un chat et un chien est tout à fait impossible. On voit souvent cependant, que ce soit dans les rues, chez nos amis ou encore sur internet que de nombreux chats et chien arrivent à vivre ensemble. Quel est donc le secret ? Les origines de cette mésentente Le fait que chat et chien ne s’entendent pas toujours vient du simple fait que ce sont deux types d’animal très différents, tant au niveau des moyens de communication qu’au niveau des habitudes et des caractères. Adopter un chaton est aussi une très bonne idée, car il sera plus facile à gérer qu’un adulte très territorial. Bien préparer la rencontre Laissez le chat s’habituer à la maison pendant quelques jours avant de le présenter à votre chien tout en lui laissant des objets appartenant au chien pour qu’il puisse s’habituer à son odeur. La première rencontre est de loin le moment le plus délicat de la cohabitation chat et chien . En effet, c’est là que tout va se jouer en grande partie, alors il faudra être présent à chaque instant. Ne jamais laisser les deux animaux tout seul, car la bagarre peut éclater à tout moment. Traitez les deux en égal pour cette première fois, si vous caressez le chat, faites de même avec le chien, jouez avec les deux en même temps. Ensuite, il sera tout simplement question de donner aux deux leurs espaces respectifs, autant pour les écuelles que pour les paniers.
