Leia, a cat from the Ahtme colony, arrived at our foster home with her kittens, weighing only 2.7 kg despite her young age. This was not her first pregnancy, as she had previously given birth to at least one litter. In the foster home, she has become a mother to six kittens, three of whom are already teenagers and three are slightly younger but have also become independent. It is unclear whether the younger kittens are her own or if she has taken them in as a foster mother. What is certain is that her exhausted and still weak body needs a quieter environment to recover and learn to trust people. Leia is still reserved and keeps her distance from people, but with a patient approach, she could also become a friendly house cat.
