Lenny is a handsome, large young dog who arrived at the shelter after being found roaming together with his friend Lusky. We don't know much about his life before coming to APASA, but he seems to have had limited guidance and still has plenty to learn about life as a companion dog. What stands out immediately is his curious nature and his love of human attention. Lenny enjoys being around people and, despite his young age and lack of training, he is a fairly calm and good-natured dog. He loves getting out for his walks, as well as having the opportunity to run, play and explore. He can still pull a little on the lead, but he is already improving and responds well to the attention and guidance he is receiving. Lenny would probably be happiest in a house with a secure garden, where he has room to move and play. Most importantly, he needs people who have plenty of time for him and are willing to continue his training, give him new experiences and include him in everyday family life. With patience, attention and consistent guidance, we think Lenny has all the ingredients to become a lovely and loyal family companion. He is still discovering what is expected of him, but his curiosity, calm nature and enthusiasm for human company give him a great foundation.
