Op Hope Rescue zijn we ongelooflijk trots erbij te staan dat we ondersteund worden door twee opmerkelijke ambassadeurs die ons passie delen voor het geven van elk hondje een tweede kans. Will Young, beroemde zanger en beoefenaar van dierenwelzijn, en Ruth Doddsworth, geliefde presentatrice en toegewijde hondeliefhebber, geven hun stem om de aandacht te vestigen op de honden die ons het meeste nodig hebben. Hun steun versterkt onze missie, vergroot het bewustzijn en inspireert ons gemeenschap om met ons te werken aan een betere, vriendelijkere toekomst voor honden in Zuid-Wales en verder. Wij zijn vereerd hen als onderdeel van de familie Hope Rescue te mogen tellen. Ik ben absoluut blij dat ik de eerste ambassadeur ben geworden voor Hope Rescue. Het werk dat ze doen in Zuid-Wales en verder is echt inspirerend. Elke hond verdient een tweede kans, en Hope Rescue werkt onvermoeid om dat mogelijk te maken.” Wij zijn vereerd Will Young als de allereerste ambassadeur van Hope Rescue te mogen hebben, een rol die perfect past bij zijn levenlange inzet voor dierenwelzijn. Als winnaar van prijzen, zanger, acteur en passievolle kamperaar brengt Will hart en invloed mee naar onze missie, waardoor hij helpt om een groter nationaal licht op de honden te richten die ons het meeste nodig hebben. Een vastbesloten advocate voor verbetering van de dierenbeschermingswetgeving en een toegewijde redder zelf, heeft Will jaren besteed aan het bevorderen van betere bescherming voor dieren en het delen van de verhalen van de honden die zijn leven hebben veranderd. Nu, als onderdeel van de familie Hope Rescue, ondersteunt hij ons werk om straat-, verlaten en kwetsbare honden in Zuid-Wales te redden, bewustwording te creëren over verantwoord hondbezit en de dringende behoefte aan redding en heropvoeding. Will beschrijft het worden van onze ambassadeur als "een absolute genot", erkent onze missie als "echt inspirerend" en bevestigt dat "elke hond een tweede kans verdient". Zijn geloof in die tweede kans is meer dan woorden - het wordt weerspiegeld in zijn acties, waaronder het samen oprichten van Miraculous Meals, een hondenvoedermerk dat 50% van zijn winst donatieert aan Britse reddingscentra zoals Hope Rescue. Het initiatief reageert rechtstreeks op de toenemende reddingscrisis en zorgt ervoor dat essentiële middelen bij de hulporganisaties terechtkomen die op het front werken. Wills vriendelijkheid, mededogen en onvermijdelijke toewijding maken hem tot een uitzonderlijke ambassadeur. Met zijn steun kunnen we de stemmen van de meest kwetsbare honden uit Zuid-Wales versterken en doorgaan met het streven naar een toekomst waarin elke hond echt de kans krijgt die hij verdient. "Ik ben er meer dan trots dat ik nu officieel een ambassadeur van Hope Rescue ben. Wij zijn blij Ruth Doddsworth OBE te mogen ontvangen als ambassadeur van Hope Rescue. Een bekende gezicht op ITV Cymru Wales gedurende bijna drie decennia, heeft Ruth al jaren een lange tijd een steun, vriend en pleitbeul van ons werk, en wij zijn blij haar officieel te mogen toevoegen aan de familie Hope Rescue. Heeft Ruths mededogen voor honden en haar geloof in het geven aan elk dier de kans om te bloeien, komt tot uitdrukking in alles wat zij doet. Tijdens haar bezoek aan onze centrale, spendeerde zij tijd met honden zoals Coco en Captain, wiens veerkracht en zachtaardige geest haar diep raakten. Terwijl ze nadenkt over haar nieuwe rol, vertelde Ruth hoe trots ze zich voelt om een organisatie te steunen die ze al zoveel jaren bewondert, en zei dat in een wereld die niet altijd liefdevol is, de liefde en zorg die wordt getoond door het personeel en vrijwilligers van Hope Rescue “absoluut indrukwekkend” is en echte hoop biedt aan honden die het meeste nodig hebben. Ze spreekt passievol over wat haar inspireert – de moed van de honden die bang en onzeker aankomen, maar leren vertrouwen, en de toegewijde mensen die hen helpen te genezen. Ruth hoopt dat haar ambassadeurschap meer mensen zal laten ontdekken van Hope Rescue, bewustzijn zal verhogen over het stijgende aantal straat- en verlaten honden, en haar stem en platform gebruiken om voor de dieren te pleiten die niet voor zichzelf kunnen spreken. Een toegewijde hondeliefhebber, presentatrice en pas aangewezen OBE voor haar inzet ter ondersteuning van slachtoffers van huiselijk geweld, brengt Ruth kracht, empathie en authenticiteit in haar rol. Haar betrokkenheid is een krachtige herinnering aan wat bereikt kan worden wanneer mededogen en actie samenkomen, en wij zijn zo dankbaar haar bij ons team te hebben! Now, as part of the Hope Rescue family, he supports our work to save stray, abandoned, and vulnerable dogs across South Wales, raising awareness of responsible dog ownership and the urgent need for rescue and rehoming. A familiar face on ITV Cymru Wales for almost three decades, Ruth has been a long‑time supporter, friend, and champion of our work, and we are thrilled to have her officially join the Hope Rescue family. Ruth’s compassion for dogs and her belief in giving every animal a chance to thrive shines through in everything she does. During her visit to our centre, she spent time with dogs like Coco and Captain, whose resilience and gentle spirits deeply moved her. Reflecting on her new role, Ruth shared how honoured she feels to support a charity she has admired for so many years, saying that in a world that isn’t always kind, the love and care shown by Hope Rescue’s staff and volunteers is “absolutely incredible” and offers real hope to dogs who need it most. Ruth hopes her ambassadorship will help more people discover Hope Rescue, raise awareness of the rising number of stray and abandoned dogs, and use her voice and platform to advocate for the animals who cannot speak for themselves. A devoted dog lover, broadcaster, and newly appointed OBE for her advocacy supporting survivors of domestic abuse, Ruth brings strength, empathy, and authenticity to her role. Her involvement is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when compassion meets action, and we are so grateful to have her on our team! We are delighted that Welsh journalist and TV and radio presenter Mariclare Carey-Jones has joined us here at Hope Rescue as our newest ambassador! Mariclare first came into our world through her campaigning work raising awareness about the health issues faced by brachycephalic breeds - flat-faced dogs like French bulldogs, a breed she knows and loves personally. From there, her involvement only grew. She went on to make a documentary shining a light on the health challenges these breeds face and the work we do on their behalf, and even took part in a sponsored Kennel Break to raise funds for us. By her own admission, we won't be getting rid of her anytime soon - and we wouldn't have it any other way! Having seen our work up close, Mariclare is passionate about helping more people understand just how far our reach extends. Despite being based right here in Llanharan, we support dogs across six local authorities in Wales, and what sets us apart, as Mariclare has seen first-hand, is our commitment to not only rescuing and rehoming dogs, but working with owners to prevent dogs from needing to come to us in the first place. We couldn't be more thrilled to have Mariclare in our corner, using her voice and platform to champion the dogs who need us most.
