Mero (male, neutered) 🎂 Birthday: approximately June 2025 📌 Location: Cyprus, on PS 🏡 Living situation: no unsecured outdoor access, no solitary housing Hello, dear people! I am Mero, a young male cat who was "discarded" in the cemetery colony. Nobody knows what happened to me, and I don't want to talk about it anymore. Let's just say: I was thin and extremely scared, so much so that it took me two months to leave my hiding place. I had no trust in humans, only fear 😱. But then I realized that nobody in the foster home wanted to harm me, I gathered all my courage and left my hiding place. Now I play with the other cats and let people pet me. In my new home, you should have understanding and patience with me, because a new environment will not be easy for me at first. A confident first cat would definitely make the adjustment much easier for me. So, patient people, contact Heroes for Cyprus Cats and show me how beautiful life without fear can be! My journey to you will be accompanied by a microchip, vaccination, FiV/FelV testing, and an EU pet passport. ----------------------------------------------------------- Who are the heroes behind Heroes for Cyprus Cats? We at Heroes for Cyprus Cats are a dedicated team of animal lovers from Cyprus, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland who are committed to the welfare of street cats in Cyprus. Our goal is to improve the lives of these cats sustainably. Our local team in Cyprus feeds, neuters, and cares for sick or injured cats on the streets and in the colonies. If necessary, we bring them to foster families where they wait in a safe environment for their family. In addition, we maintain a strong online presence, process inquiries from adopters, and provide support at the airport. Street cats in Cyprus suffer greatly and are often victims of car accidents or cruel mistreatment. Many simply starve or die from diseases that are not treated. We save them from this sad fate and work tirelessly to find a loving, safe home for our rescued cats. We place great value on a collegial, transparent, and respectful relationship within our team and with potential adopters. For us, adopting a cat is just the beginning. We are committed to supporting our rescued cats and their new families for the rest of their lives. Together, we make a difference for every single cat.
