paura e ne è uscita più forte. Dopo l'operazione per l'emangiosarcoma vicino alla vulva, il suo corpo porta una cicatrice, ma i suoi occhi brillano come prima, forse di più. Ha affrontato il dolore in silenzio, con quella dignità semplice che solo i cani sanno avere. Ogni passo che fa oggi è una piccola vittoria, quella coda che scodinzola un promemoria di quanto la vita sia tenace. Non sa cosa sia la malattia ma sa cosa significa l'amore che gli viene donato e quello che dona. E questo basta.
