Nova is a sweet girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived with us she was an incredibly worried little girl who found the world around her quite overwhelming. She was very unsure of people and could be touch sensitive, as she was still learning that humans could be kind. Everything was new to her, and she took great comfort from the other dogs around her, relying on them for reassurance and confidence. Since then, Nova has come on so well and it has been wonderful to watch her slowly start to blossom. She is now walking nicely on a lead and harness and is becoming braver every day. Although she can still feel unsure in new places, she is learning to trust and is making lovely progress at her own pace. She now happily runs up to greet her kennel mum and though she still isn't sure about having cuddles just yet, she is coming out of her shell more every day. With patience and continued gentle encouragement, we're sure her confidence will continue to grow. Nova will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home and would benefit from adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and will let her settle in at her own pace. She has never lived in a home before so her adopters would need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. Nova absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company. She loves every dog she meets and will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help her settle in. She would be best matched with a medium/large dog who has a similar energy level to her. She can sometimes forget her manners in her excitement, but once introductions are over, she simply loves to play and run around with her friends. As Nova settles more and more, her fun, goofy personality is beginning to shine through, and it’s clear there is such a lovely dog waiting to fully emerge. Whoever gives Nova the chance she deserves is going to gain the most rewarding and special companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
