Pickle is a gorgeous little lady with a huge personality and an even bigger amount of love to give. 🧡 She was found living on the streets, surviving by eating out of bins, but you certainly wouldn’t know it from the cat she is today. Pickle seems to have decided that life outdoors is firmly behind her and she is more than happy with the comforts of indoor life. In fact, when the front door opens, she tends to head in the opposite direction! Pickle is incredibly affectionate and forms a really strong bond with her person. Once she decides you’re hers, you can expect to have a tiny ginger shadow following you around the house. Whether you’re relaxing on the sofa, heading to bed or even trying to go to the toilet, Pickle will probably be coming with you! 😂 She loves curling up beside you, sleeping on the bed and kneading away when she’s feeling particularly happy and content. If she’s really enjoying herself, you might even get a little bit of happy drool! Pickle also has absolutely no problem letting you know when she feels she isn’t receiving quite enough attention. She’ll reach out with her paw and give you a little pat until you finally get the message and provide the fuss she quite clearly deserves. That said, Pickle definitely knows her own mind! She can have a slightly spicy side and, just as clearly as she’ll tell you when she wants attention, she’ll also let you know when she’s decided she’s had enough. She gives you fair warning when she’s reached her limit, which has earned her the nickname “Ginger Spice” in her foster home. 😂 Once you get to know her, she’s actually very easy to read. Affection is very much on Pickle’s terms, and she’s looking for someone who will understand and respect her boundaries. One of our favourite things about Pickle is her voice. She doesn’t really meow and instead communicates with the cutest little bird-like chirps when she has something to say. We don’t truly know how old Pickle is, but whatever her age, nobody seems to have told her she’s supposed to slow down! She still has plenty of energy and is particularly fond of her evening zoomies. Her fosterer says you can almost set your watch by them: around 9pm she’ll have a mad dash around the house before settling down for the night. 😂 Pickle has been living alongside her fosterer’s resident female cat and, although they have made progress, she can sometimes become a little too interested in her and has been known to chase and stalk her. There have been no injuries or serious fights and Pickle is learning to simply watch her and let her pass, but we feel she would be happiest as the only cat in her new home, where she can have her human family all to herself. More than anything, Pickle absolutely loves people. She wants to be involved in whatever her humans are doing and, once she trusts you, she gives you so much affection in return. She just needs someone who understands that sometimes she wants all the fuss in the world and sometimes she’d rather you admire her from a respectful distance! After having to survive on the streets and search bins for her next meal, Pickle deserves a home where she never has to worry about being cold, hungry or alone again. She doesn’t ask for much: somewhere warm and cosy, plenty of affection and somebody who doesn’t mind acquiring a tiny ginger shadow who chirps at them, pats them when they’re not providing enough fuss, occasionally turns into Ginger Spice and tears around the house at 9pm. 🧡
