The Pifs shelter took in a dog three years ago, when local residents reported an unfriendly dog living on the territory of the Dvina fortress. The puppy was very unsocialized and had rather lived in the wild than with people. Pifu is now about seven years old - still active, cheerful, and smiling, having become accustomed to shelter life. During these three years, the shelter has become used to people, wagging its tail to greet its own and ready to kiss from head to toe. Only his own know this dog from the sunny and bright side - how nice and kind he is. He is afraid of strangers, carefully watches over himself, his territory, and his cage mate Lusya. Pifs gets along well with other dogs, but doesn't like children - probably had a bad experience with them. He is only learning to walk on a leash, still feels insecure outside the shelter's enclosure, but that is just a matter of socialization and time. It would be so nice if this nice little dog found very compassionate and loving owners (without small children!) who are willing to regularly come to meet and socialize with Pifu, and who won't expect him to trust them immediately. Pifs will feel best in a private house with a secure fence and another safe dog!

Pifs patversmē nonāca pirms 3 gadiem, kad vietējie iedzīvotāji ziņoja par nedraudzīgu suni, kurš mitinājās Davgavgrīvas cietokšņa teritorijā. Suņuks bija ļoti nesocializēts un drīzāk dzīvojis savvaļā, nekā kopā ar cilvēkiem. Pifam šobrīd ir apmēram 7 gadi – joprojām aktīvs, dzīvespriecīgs un smaidīgs, apradis ar patversmes dzīvi. Šo trīs gadu laikā patversmē ir pieradis pie cilvēkiem, astīti luncinot sagaida savējos un gatavs nobučot no galvas līdz kājām. Tikai savējie pazīst šo suņuku no saulainās un gaišās puses – cik viņš ir jauks un mīļš. No svešiem baidās, cītīgi aprej un sargā gan sevi, gan savu teritoriju un voljera biedreni Ļusju. Pifs bez problēmām sadzīvo ar citiem suņiem, bet necieš bērnus – visticamāk bijusi slikta pieredze ar bērniem. Viņš tikai mācās staigāt pie pavadiņas, vēl jūtas nedroši ārpus patversmes voljera, bet tas ir tikai socializācijas un laika jautājums. Tik ļoti gribētos, lai šis jaukais suņupuika atrastu sev ļoti iejūtīgus un mīlošus saimniekus (bez maziem bērniem!), kuri gatavi regulāri braukt iepazīties un socializēt Pifu un kuri negaidīs, ka viņš uzticēsies uzreiz. Pifs vislabāk jutīsies privātmājā ar drošu žogu un vēl ar kādu drošu suņuku!
